Defensive TD Ratio

The Auburn defense is currently No. 5 nationally in touchdowns allowed per play. The Tigers have allowed a TD every 47.6 snaps defended, No. 2 in the SEC behind LSU, who is currently No. 1 in the country.

The last time Auburn possessed a better defensive TD ratio was in 1989, when Auburn allowed a TD every 62.4 snaps defended. eek

On a side note, Clemson is currently #6 and Texas A&M is ranked #12 in this category.

Auburn's remaining opponents are currently ranked....

Ole Miss 51st
Vandy 27th
Georgia 80th
Alabama 7th

Our D is playing great thus far.  DC Kevin Steele and his staff have done a very good job thus far managing the talent they have on the D side of the ball.  T Wil is the best D coach on the staff.   

Thanks should also be sent to Will Muschamp and his staff last year for changing the attitude and culture of our D.

This really puts it in perspective the years we had a good defense.  This year is tied for the best defense in this category. Even the Tubby years.

Not to hijack but throughout October it has seemed our D is on the verge of a multiple interception game. We sure have the closing speed and could sure use a pick or two against Kelly.

I'd love to see our defense put a few notches on their belt and score a few TDs against the Black Bears in Oxford.
