Cooper chops it to 1st, backhanded stop and throw to 2nd to get wallace, throw back to 1st not in time.  Cooper at 1st with 1 out for Haley Fagan..   Fagan grounds softly to short and its a double play to end the top of the 1st.

lizards get a couple of base runners but a ground ball to McCrackin goes to Fagan for 1 and to Veach for 2 to end the inning.  No score after 1.       Shea, Gipson and Veach coming up.

Gipson chops it to the left side and its off the glove of the 3rd baseman and into shallow center.   Gipson reaches with 1 out.  Kendall Veach up.

McCrackin strikes out looking.  have to swing the bat there and protect the plate.  2 outs.  Morgan Podany up.

Draper slow chopper to the right side, 1st baseman fields and dives to 1st and they get Draper barely in time to end the top 2nd.  No scre.

Hi chopper up the middle, cut off by Fagan throw to 1st they say not in time, throw comes home and she's out.    Now the home plate umpire asks for help and says she's safe so Auburn is trailing 2-0.   She was CLEARLY OUT at home plate.    Corey Myers comes charging out of the dugout and he's furious and he should be.   The home plate umpire asks the umpire at 3rd and they say she is safe.  That's unbelievable.  Someone 70 feet away makes an over rule on someone standing right at the play.  That's just horrible.  Absolutely HORRIBLE.     Home plate umpire has given Myers a warning.  I have a feeling Clint Myers is about to be tossed here.   That is absolutely HORRIBLE....

No way the first base ump saw that ball in Carlee's glove....BAD decision for him to overrule the guy who was looking right down at the ball.

Why is the world would the home plate umpire ask for help on a tag play at HOME PLATE that was right in front of him and he saw the whole thing.   That is probably the worst failure in umpire mechanics that I've ever seen.  That was completely ridiculous.

Florida plates one, the second runner comes around, she's out and called out by the home plate umpire. UF complained and the third base umpire called her safe saying she juggled it. The home plate umpire was in perfect position to call it and just like you'd expect from the garbage that the SEC trots out to call games, they keep the safe call. It's unbelievable that they didn't get that call right.

Horrible horrible way for the plate umpire to handle that. He had the absolute BEST view of that play at home and then relies on umpire 70 feet away to overrule it. AU got hosed!!

Well, 2 runs isn't a mountain as AU has certainly had baserunners and chances. But it's a HUGE momentum boost for UF to get that inexcusable display by the umpires.

SEC officiating has been suspect for many years.  Another example of why they should clean house in the SEC

In the baseball game today they went to the replay to check a out/safe call at home plate.  Why didn't they go to the replay there?  Exactly the same situation.  There's no way in hell that 3rd base umpire could see anything that happened at home plate.  That call was right originally.   That's just horrible mechanics to take a call over from 70 feet away.  The home plate umpire had a PERFECT angle and view of that play and he got it right.
