Apparently, the only terrorism that merits comment is Islamist terrorism.

Lynching by sword.

Hate crime absolutely and absolutely despicable, but some words have connotations that lend themselves to be more inflammatory than necessary. Lynching is one of those, IMO.  When things are consistently said and referred to at level 11, things begin to lose their level of outrage and people begin to become numb to it.

Terrible act by a deranged nutjob, but why does Trump need to single this monster's actions out ?

:gofig:

And sorry, but the headline does accurately describe the brutal murder

Lynching

Lynching is an extrajudicial punishment by an informal group. It is most often used to characterize informal public executions by a mob, often by hanging, in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate a minority group.

There was no mob. There was no exhibition of the deceased. This wasn't a ' lynching '.

It's a shame this has gotten so little coverage.  News media chooses which stories get pushed to the forefront and which one do not.

Stories that did get more coverage included a black church that was struck by lightning. Until the investigation concluded that lighting was the culprit, it was implied that the burning of the black church was a hate crime.

A black man was found hanging from a tree in Mississippi. It turned out that he indeed hung himself, but the implication was a black man found hanging from a tree in Mississippi seemed suspicious.

Not only was a local investigation conducted, federal officials were sent in.

The census worker who committed suicide, got a lot of national attention. He had FED scrawled across his chest.

Rachel Maddow covered it

In fact Eric Boehlert claims the census worker was murdered.

Right-wing blogger wonders if murdered census worker was a pedophile

What far-right bloggers lack in common decency them make up for in blinding ignorance. And FDL'sright, this is just beyond belief, even for the morally-challenged GOP blogosphere.

The blogger is Dan Riehl and his twisted premise about the census worker who was recently tortured to death in Kentucky and was found with "fed" scrawled across his chest, is this:

Was Census Worker Bill Sparkman A Child Predator?

Classy the way Riehl puts the dead man's full name right in the headline next to "child predator," right?

Keep in mind, Riehl quickly admits he doesn't have the slightest idea why the census worker was killed, and that the "child predator" thing is just, y'know, a hypothetical. He's simply "speculating" and "keeping an open mind." But he's gonna float it anyway. And then he's gonna open up his comment section to more right-wing crazies who are invited to invent conspiracy theories blaming the murdered census worker for his own death.

Question: Is anybody within the right-wing blogosphere going to denounce this kind of heartless idiocy from a high-profile hate merchant like Riehl?

UPDATED: Right-winger Roger Hedgecock, based on no facts, suggests the census worker was killed because of a "our still open border with Mexico."

Dylann Roof got a lot of coverage too.

And besides Trump is a Fascist. Why would a Fascist do something that a black writer would want? Trump is also a racist. If anything, Trump is everything Democrats and Liberals portrayed him to be. It shouldn't be surprising.

What churches did Dylann attend ? Did they teach hate and the inferiority of other races ?

What KKK or Aryan nation groups did he belong ?

If there were any remote ties to Dylann to said groups, then yes, there could be a legitimate comparison. Otherwise, he's just a lone nut job.

Once again, we have the Lefts inexplicable attempt to dismiss the obvious while trying to equivocate the totally unrelated.
