Nice play by McGuffin from LF throwing a Tech runner out at the plate to end the inning and keep the game at a 1 run deficit.  Herndon in now to keep AU in the game.

AU at bat in the bottom of the 8th....trailing by 1 run.   McGuffin first batter for AU.....the old saw about a guy who makes a great defensive plays so often is the guy who leads off the inning at the plate.

Well...hated to see that loss....AU had enough runs to win this game but other that the top 5 pitchers...maybe top 6....we don't have enough to reliably protect the leads in these mid week games.   I guess BT has to take the risks to develop the kids but once the game was there to be had, to let it get away like that hurts. JMO

His swing and he looks pretty slow heading down the line too...an ideal candidate for a DP...

Georgia Tech has a powerhouse offense, top twenty in team Batting average (.302) and top five in home runs (44).  

We had some guys get some good high stress time on the mound, for which there is no substitute unless you get your brains beat in.  Hopefully big Gabe can put that heaping pile out of his mind and move on.
