Glad to see we now have a conservative Auburn grad as Gov.

A conservative Auburn grad who raised the gross state debt by $10 billion in just over 8 years. Auburn grad or not, she's not the right person for the job.

Let's not forget that Alabama has the most corrupt state government in the entire U.S according to Five Thirty Eight and is top 10 for corruption according to Fortune (6th) and USA Today (7th).

Better a bad GOPer than a bad Dem (LOL). She is 72 so age will be a factor in the next election. That would seem to be a plus for Coach Tuberville running.

Speaker of the House: Convicted & Removed

Governor: The Love-Gov. Screwed tax payers over, arrested, resigns in disgrace.

Supreme Court Justice: Suspended Nut-Job.

At least Kay Ivey has a little class. We have to drain the swamp in Montgomery, but I am not sure we are ready to see just how large that swamp really is. Do you good folks realize that we look more corrupt than Louisiana or Illinois right now? :ucrazy:

Alabama politics are a disaster, House Speaker, Chief Justice and Governor all in one year.

Hat trick.

You leave out Siegleman, the only one in jail.

Bentley is out. Humiliated, finger printed, mug shot taken, booked and posted bail. Alabamians cheer. Yes the same ones who overwhelmingly nominated and elected a president who is exponentially worse than Dr. Guvna Flim flam could possibly be. With the last several years Alabama politics could serve as a good argument against democracy.

Unfortunately, that attitude ensures that will be your choice.  As long as party is more important than integrity, you will have little integrity.

Good riddance to this sleazy POS.

Now, as for Ms. Ivey -- an Auburn grad, right? But she *seems* to be an elderly career recipient of the public dole known as state politics, a paper pusher bureaucrat, not a big policy innovator or charismatic leader. I say "seems to be" because I just don't know a lot about her actual politics. Is there potential here for some real progress in Alabama during her time as governor? Or is this just a "kill time until the next election" tenure?

I applaud her signing that bill that put an end to judicial override in death penalty cases yesterday.
