Article link?  Very interested in reading that.

Fields said so himself during an interview at the game last night. He said several MLB teams have talked about him being a very high draft pick.

That would have be the funniest thing of the recruiting cycle if he goes to the MLB.  In all honesty that may be the best for him as a professional athlete though if he is deadset on playing for UGA if he plays football.  He would be lucky to play a year there with Fromm ahead of him, and that is not much for scouts to look at.

Speaking of Athens, did you see where Fields is exploring MLB and might not sign with UGA?

He's already signed w/ UGA, just may not go there if he is drafted very high.

If he pulls a Wienke, is he beholden to his uga commitment?

Poor wording, but that's what I meant.

He enrolled early ☹️

He could still drop if he gets drafted in a favorable spot.   Maybe there is a baseball GM out there who is an Auburn Alum that could help us out?  Kinda hoping...

People said same with TT in Turd town.  He has gotten playing time in most every game this year.

Nope...played in about half the games and usually in the romps.....no appreciable time against good teams.   Under utilized considering bama's success this year...JMO

There's not a chance in hell he will be a high draft.  The only plus tool he has is his speed.  He carries a "10" with Perfect Game from their June '17 showcase but he hasn't played competitively in the summer for two years now.  Currently a shortstop but could not play there above the high school level.  He would have a hard time cracking the starting lineup for the Dawgs baseball team.  He's nothing more than "intriguing" to legitimate scouts.

Okay.  I was just passing along what Fields said.

Fields enrollment seems to be a primary factor in Easson deciding to move along....could not see anything good at UGa in his future.  Back to Washington state I guess tho it was suggest that Miami might be a factor since RIcht was the guy who brought him to Georgia.

based on that one tweet?

Dive in deeper. He never saw a snap against Florida. Kirby isn't playing him.  Although its message board chatter, there are several people saying Justin was told by Kirny that he'd being utilized more and it isn't happening. Dawgnation.com is talking about this subject quite a bit.

did he redshirt?

The best thing for us is for him to transfer (anywhere) and Kirby to start lose credibility in the recruiting circles.   We need some breaks.

He did not. He's played in 7 games. Every Georgia board I lurk on is talking about this topic. Fromm being only a sophomore and Kirby unwilling to create packages or play Fields in meaningful situations. The elephant in the room is that Fields could start at 80% of schools, but is being used for mop up duty.

Now, this is news that I can get behind. Why he chose Georgia in the first place is baffling, but that’s water in the bridge now. Come win Heismans at Auburn, Fields.

JMO but dawgs could have used him in the UF game....or made some better play calls...…..folks complain about Gus but whoever calls offense for Smart made a number of "head shaking" calls in the UF game involving Fromm.... and it was just good fortune....and a little help from the refs that enabled the dawgs roll over the gators.
