So now it appears that it was the Russians who wanted the back channel....and why not?  The State Department leaks like a sieve and the NYT might as well have a guy listening in on the calls or talks...and maybe they do?   

And nobody EVER used back channel communications before this did they?  of course not.....and how stupid are the posters on this site who apparently think this is concept is novel?  Considering how adamant they are about it....must rate close to 10 on the scale of 1-10

and there was the secret deal with Iran on the negotiations about the bribe to release the hostages...of course that was not actually a bribe was it...just a coincidence and no one really tried to hide it...uh huh? .
