To counter, you have to put some of the blame on him.

1) Auburn has been coached to take a very passive approach - it gets them a ton of walks against bad pitchers but doesn't seem to prepare them so well for good ones.

2) A ton of dicking around with the LF spot over the last month, he's basically been giving 4 different players 1 AB a game in that slot. How is anyone supposed to get in a rhythm that way?

3) He loves pinch hitting for what appears the sake of pinch hitting. Auburn is batting .194 when pinch hitting.

4) Recuiting.

2)  Nobody has stepped up to claim the position.  You can coach till you're blue in the face, but at some point, players have to play.

4)  We have one of,  if not THE top player in the country coming in next year, and losing her sister really hurt us this year.  We only have 4 seniors and only two play every day.

 We are a young team.

Getting this far with a young team builds for the future. Auburn is NOT going to be in the championship every single year and to expect that is unrealistic. This team has done well and if today is the end then so be it. It has been a great season.

OU has just been able to get the clutch hits all weekend. Just the better team all around. Yhe NDSU loss was a big motivator for them.

Another run scored by okie.  I think that will about do it.  Too many runs for auburn to catch up.  Hopefully next year they'll fix their batting woes.  All in all, it was great to see auburn make it to the super regional

exactly right.  We have one of the top recruiting classes in the country coming in next year.  I believe one of the sites actually ranked us with the #1 class.

1. what some call passive, others call disciplined.  Being disciplined at the plate is a VERY good thing.

3. pinch hitting is never done for the sake of pinch hitting. It's situational and most often (as jared said above) with a slapper due up and runners in scoring position.

2) True enough, although one player has pretty consistently got on base (Podany, .426 OBP) and has 4 ABs over the last 6 games. Meanwhile he's playing Jordan today and yesterday who has an OBP of .236.

4) Of the 15 underclasswomen on the roster only two have arguably been good (Rivera and MM). The incoming class does look good.

After 6, Auburn trailing 5-2 after giving up 2 in the 6th.  We definitely didn't need that.   Shea, Jordan and McCrackin due up.  I expect one or more pinch hitters here.

Shea singles to left to lead off the 7th.   Bree Fornis in to pinch run for Shea at 1st.   Jordan up.

McCrackin flies to right center.   2 outs. runner on 1st.   Victoria Draper up.    Come on Victoria.  Get on base for Cooper

Draper grounds to 2nd, throw in time and that's the game.  Auburn falls 5-2 and the season ends for Auburn with a 49-12 record.   WAR EAGLE!!!  Let's get ready for next year.
