I live in the middle of a city, but there's a longhorns ranch just down the street from mw in our neighborhood.  Literally surrounded by homes.  I can hear them mooing most nights.

I loved it out in the country. No neighbors within miles. Lot of pasture. I found the cattle relaxing, especially in the winter when their moos carried a long way.

Baba!

We call it coffee in our house. Beer, wine, cocktails... all "coffee". Not really a deception thing, at least not intentionally. Our daughter started it at about 18 months. Always fascinating, their little brains operating...

Like I said, what's so weird is this is in the middle of my suburb.  I'm surrounded by neighborhoods, shops, etc and in the middle of it all is a cattle ranch.  25-30 years years ago all of this land was undeveloped, but Austin has grown immensely since then.  They could get millions for selling off this small ranch to developers.

So my erstwhile youngest, Jillian, has wanted a pair of fancy rats for ages. Finally got her a pair on her 8th birthday today. She named them Nugget and Nibbles.

Iron Bowl 2017 giddiness has me exploring all sorts of other AUFamily pastimes, but I'll post a few random ones...pardon if someone else beat me to a particular one. Great thread!

First, the Waffle House backup plan.

Foster Falls, Fall Break, near Monteagle/Sewanee, Tennessee. Couldn't believe the angle of light that made the rainbow mist.

On the bammer side 95% of this kind of thing would be indoctrination.

On the Auburn side most of this is a proud Alum wanting the best for the children. Good stuff jeff

For perspective -

My long time residence in T'loosa resulted in:

1.) A UA-fan daughter (that owes me a six-pack from our Iron-Bowl bet), and

2.) A son that would rather eat a bug than see any football.
