@ShocksMyBrain, don't worry, it's been years. But she was one of a kind. You should see the memorial I posted for her on FB. Could count on one hand the number of times I've cried like that since my age hit double digits.

Yo this frog is some kind of stupid. Pulled him out of the pool twice this week. I have no doubt it’s the same one.

I saw the picture before I read the post and wondered why it was showing up as a new post, because that is definitely the same frog.

Maybe chlorine gives frogs a good buzz.

Eat his back legs.  That would prevent a third swim.

Humble apologies. My lack of search savvy seems to throw off my comedic timing here.

Excellent shot! And one of my wife's favorite bars when she lived down there. Best neighborhood in the city. Spotted Cat > Apple Barrel > dinner at Adolfo's FTW.

Never been there, but isn't the whole place one of the few,

accessible, truly old-growth plots in the neighborhood?

That it is. A relatively easy 25-30 minute hike from the parking lot will gain one access to this particular grove of old growth trees. Mostly yellow poplar, some of the trees are estimated at well over 400 years old. Massive, old living things impress me greatly.

I took this surprise pic of my wife on our trip. It ended up being my favorite picture.

Yes.  Those silent profiles are the best.  Here is one I took at my daughters' recital of my father in law walking out with my youngest. Not the best shot. Took it on the move with the phone quickly.  Sentiment is the same though. Love this thread btw.

Heavens!

Gentleman center stage seems young to be exposed to such an orgiastic environment?

On our way to the Grand Canyon we stopped by the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo.

This guy really needs to get his s*** together. Smoking saves frogs lives apparently.

This makes 3 of 4 times I’ve heard him jump in. The only other time I heard him was during a thunderstorm, and I’m not about to carry around a metal pole in an effort to save an amphibian’s life.

Next time I’m tossing him an adjacent backyard.

So what are you going to name your new pet?

Gotta love that kind of persistence,

in both you and the frog.

Just give up and start adoption proceedings?

Those rubber mats they use to cover Dispose-alls would make for a serviceable, chlorine-resistent lily pad. Keep his/her thimble full of beer. That "warts" thing is a myth.

Your pet probably has more things on his mind than just swimming.  Probably looking forward to amplexus.  You may be denying him a fruitful moment.
