Favorite AU Player That Wasn't Everyone Else's?

Yann Cowart. Primarily because he was my HS teammate and classmate. Undersized OL for the SEC and only started for 4 years.  Academic All-American/SEC, SEC Champion. 

Was a "yuge" (that's how Yann says huge) UF and UT fan in HS and use to tease me during the Barfield years for being an AU fan. He asked me to go along on his official visit to AU. He broke his leg the previous Friday night in Selma, so I drove him from there after our game.  Talk about cool...no one except Yann and the coaches knew I wasn't a recruit, but I got to stand with them in the corner of the end zone and meet Coach Dye. 

Still close friends although our paths don't cross as much, but he's just the same Ol' genuine Yann as he's always been.
