Auburn's vertical passing game

I am most looking forward to the possibility that our passing game will no longer be restricted to passes along the line of scrimmage and bombs exclusively.

I believe JS will be great at those quick crossing routes underneath where the threat of run pulls linebacker up and we hit the crossing route that has killed our defense in past few years! jm -uninformed -ho!

Which JS? Stidham, Smith, or all of the above?

JS passing to receivers crossing, sorry it wasn't clearer!

That's ok... Gus handled it for you by making Smith a DB.

Exactly, make defenses defend the entire field and we'll be a special, special bunch on offense.

I'm especially excited about finally using the RBs out of the backfield and RPOs in the seam.

Run-pass option plays should be a major component of Lindey's 2017 Auburn offense. I believe this will be the primary reason why Auburn fields a very good offense this year. Jarrett Stidham ran lots of RPO plays the one year he played at Baylor, so he should be very comfortable doing so at Auburn.
