Who all is going to the Missouri game?

Obviously never been to Mizzou. Never had a reason to before but am def thinking about going to the game this year. With the way the sec schedule works now no telling the next time we play them AT mizzou. Probaly another decade AT LEAST! Their stadium has always looked awful to me on t.v. Like what is up with those rocks taking up a lot of those endzone seats on one side?! Them and vandy are the 2 stadiums that it does not LOOK like a SEC Stadium to me. They feel out of place.  Anyways I have had a lot of people tell me the thing to do is go to ST Louis on the friday before the game and just hang out there. Supposed to be a lot of fun. Just trying to gauge the boards interest and see who all might be going on here.

My husband and I are going with our friends. We are driving to Nashville Thursday night and the rest of the way on Friday. We were thinking along the same lines as you. We will not get back to Columbia for many years. I hope it is a good game and we beat the heck out of them!!! :cheer:

YES MAAM!!! I second that! I hope it is a beatdown and a easy win for us. We already have way too many games each year that are heart stoppers!

Without getting political, I worked with a guy whose son and DIL taught at Mizzoo (they have left and are now at a PAC 10 school).  They did not have a glowing view of the school or town.  Get in & Get out!  Spend the night elsewhere.

The St. Louis and Kansas City Auburn Clubs will be there. In fact, I believe the St. Louis club is setting up busses. Both are doing tailgates (KC is doing a cheaper one, St. Louis's costs $40/person).

My wife went to school there for a while... hated it. Still the town is relatively harmless as college towns go. It's no Auburn, but it's certainly no LSU or West Virginia.

Idk man...their players have said at media day that they have this game especially circled on their calendars and some people think it's a trap game. I blew them off when I first saw them on the schedule but I've seen that they have a pretty solid rb and seemingly strong o-line.

I'll be there.  Same thoughts.  Staying in St. Louis and driving over the for the game.  Hitting up the casinos one of the nights in STL!

WVU?  Worst road trip I've ever been on.  But I may have you beat on the wife thing.  Mine can't travel to certain parts of Italy under her maiden name thanks to mob connections.

So, what position does she play?

Two gentlemen are discussing the best attributes of each state. As they discuss Alabama, one gentlemen pipes up and says: "the only good things that come from Alabama are whores and football players."

The other gentlemen, in disgust, retorts; "Hey, my wife is from Alabama!!!"

Whereas the first gentlemen replies; "So, what position does she play?"

I use this a lot as my wife is from Alabama.

I would fly into KC personally, but I have a BBQ problem.

Come on loof... Do it.  I'll buy the first round of ribs. :)

Careful with offers like that!

KC needs more Tigers to visit.  I'll take the financial hit to feed a couple of the cooler ones. Plus, we do have the best ribs in the US at Joe's KC, according to USA Today, The New York Post, etc.

On a side note... if we can get enough Tigers to come to KC, I can probably get the local Auburn Club to host a gathering on Friday. Conveniently, Joe's has an event space and puts together one heck of a BBQ buffet.

Subtle dig. I like it!

I am not authorized to say if Joe's has the best ribs in the US, but I am authorized to say that, after having had them, I could never look a man in the eye and say that they're not. Ditto for the other 3 meats I had on my plate.

If heaven ain't a lot like Kansas City...

This changes everything for me...This schedule seems unfair but the perk is if we handle our business in a lot of these games than the playoff committee will definitely have their attention on us. Not every team on the schedule will meet expectations though. We will find out who's the pretenders and contenders this year.
