You keep saying this and it couldn't be further from the truth.  Just because you don't read the news doesn't mean there isn't stuff happening.  Pretty big stuff too.

Most,  if not all, U.S. presidents have issued pardons and most of them are met with criticism. There is always someone who will voice outrage over pardoning a jailed criminal. Nothing new there. And on the surface, Trump's pardon of Arpaio seems to hold hands with racism especially after POTUS' unwillingness to condemn white supremacy after the events in Charlottesville. That we have a president that seemingly condones racism is troubling and I don't wish to be dismissive of that possibility, however I think this pardon illustrates a bigger problem within this presidency and it's the complete inability to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil. Trump only sees two sides,  those who like him and those who don't. It doesn't matter if you march in the streets chanting hateful things about Jews, if you speak well of Trump, he has your back. It doesn't matter if you cracked down on immigrants in a racist manner breaking laws while doing so, if you investigate birther claims Trump has your back. This president doesn't distinguish right and wrong and that's frightening. It won't take long for world leaders with intentions to harm us to learn that the American president can be manipulated by flattery. Putin already knows this. With Trump good is praise and support and bad is criticism and opposition.

He also didn't follow the process. He also could have commuted a sentence without excusing the crime.

This is literally the most unintelligent thing you could have said.  Yes, every link is CNN.  It's because if you read the links, you'll notice that several of the stories were broken by other news organizations to which CNN gives credit.  I can't link to the Wall Street Journal without a subscription, so I put this here instead.  Keeping your head in the sand doesn't make the links any less qualified.  If I had linked to HuffPo or Breitbart, you would have a point.  Instead you're choosing ignorance because it doesn't fit your world view.

Also, if Trump told you that eating rat poison would make you a millionaire, would you do it?  According to your logic, it must be true since he said it.  Use your damn brain.  In the words of the great Jimmy Duggan, "That's that lump three feet above your ass."

Hispanics are generally considered an ethnicity....and can be of several races .....but most leftist clowns apparently don't know that.

All it takes to be Hispanic is to say you are one.   Anglo Saxon Scots Irish women who take the Spanish last name of their husbands are considered Hispanic.   I've met people in South America who are of English, Italian, Polish, Scandinavia,  etc descent and do not have Spanish last names, but would be considered Hispanic in the US because they speak Spanish as their first or only language.

The former.

And like I said, anyone who cynically uses racism for political gain is no better than a racist.  Maybe even worse.

So, if you believe the former, you necessarily believe the latter.

I guess we disagree again. But I would think that even TexasTiger would agree with me that Obama tried to use racial tension for political gain. (I noticed that you changed "racial tension" to "racism" probably because you knew you were wrong)

Oh yeah, you caught me. :-\

Well how about citing a case where Obama utilized racial tension for political gain.  Other than by simply being black.

So because you can't come back when confronted with facts, you make a snarky joke while ignoring the rest of my post.  I'll look forward to your next installment of "well there's nothing on Russia so," later this week, despite it's inherit lack of accuracy.

He's obsessed with Russia-- in his own way. Facts, not so much.

Salty's statement reflects the thoughts of millions. Doubt many even read their links. (rather obvious in this example) CNN brought this upon themselves and has no one else to blame. Their lies and disingenuous reporting is dangerous in that it divides a populous and provides fodder for their parrots who perpetuate a false narrative.  Look no further than this forum, hell, this thread!

So while you call it unintelligent, millions call it well earned.

Well if the new reporting on this issue is accurate, and I have no reason to believe it isn't, this line right here is troublesome:

Sater wrote to Trump Organization Executive Vice President Michael Cohen, “something to the effect of, ‘Can you believe two guys from Brooklyn are going to elect a president?’ ” said one person briefed on the email exchange.

There's also a direct influence on Trump's policy proposals during his campaign.  If his company is negotiating with Russia about a deal while he is running for President, don't you think that could sway his policy towards Russia post-election?  It also goes against his own statements where he said there were no business dealings with Russia.  Well obviously, there were talks.  So which one is it?

Finally, as the article states, these details point to the high likelihood that additional Trump campaign/connected members had contacts with Russia during the election cycle.  Considering what we know about the Russian influence campaign to favor Trump (as said by our own intelligence agencies) and the fact that numerous meetings between Trump team members and Russians have come out after initial denials, one has to wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Admittedly, I don't put much credibility in the statement. How on earth can two people elect a president?

Do I think Trump wants better relations with Russia? Sure. Why not?

Talks/negotiations as a business entity can be entirely separate from an administration right?  So if negotiations on this deal ended in Jan 16 and Trump stated he had no business interest in Russia July 16, was he inaccurate?

Pardon me if this seems like an irrelevant witch hunt. Perhaps Mueller disagrees. WSS.

That's a fair stance.  My opinion is that it isn't an irrelevant witch hunt because we know these things:

- Russia tried to interfere with our election in favor of Trump.  Again, that's according to our own intelligence community and has been said by them in a public forum.
- Trump team members had not disclosed all of these meetings with Russian representatives, after stating there no meetings previously.  It was apparently enough to get Flynn fired and potentially in legal trouble.
- There have been reports that WikiLeaks was offered info on Trump, but didn't use it.  We also know that WikiLeaks likely received their Hilary info from Russia.  That's too much of a coincidence for my taste.

Totally agree with on the Mueller thing though.  It will be a while before we hear from him, but I'm interested to see if anything comes of it.

Of course!  I don't understand how people can see what's happening in Houston, particularly the humanity being shown across races and political ideologies, and get so worked up as to be uncivil on a freaking message board.  There are bigger things in life.
