LSU Injuries

LSU will be down at least one starting tackle against Auburn.

Left tackle KJ Malone was using crutches and not walking with the team during the pregame march down Victory Hill. Malone was spotted standing outside the team's locker room, leaning against his crutches.

Malone, a fifth-year senior, has not practiced this week and entered the game "questionable," according to coach Ed Orgeron. Malone injured his left knee in the win last week at Florida. He missed most of that game but returned late for one fourth-quarter series.

His replacement is likely a true freshman in Saahdiq Charles. The Tigers could be without junior starting right tackle Toby Weathersby as well. He's questionable and was not at practice Monday-Wednesday during reporters' observation windows.

The Tigers' health on the offensive line has been an issue recently. They played three true freshmen on the line for much of last week's game in Gainesville, Florida. Malone went down in the first quarter, and Weathersby followed in the second quarter. Charles played left and right tackle, and freshman Austin Deculus saw his first significant playing time of his career, replacing Weathersby on the right side. Ed Ingram, a freshman, starts at right guard.

If the defense doesn't take advantage of this......

Sucks that we can't play them at full strength and lsu fans and the like will make excuses but whatever let's take em to the woodshed.
