This is an instrument that I play. Sorry for two posts.

Don't ever apologize for dobro/Jerry Douglas posts.

How'd you pick it up? Not a super exotic instrument I guess, but not super common, either.

The coventry carol. Beautiful....Kind dark and Erie when you read the lyrics....

Very challenging harmonies, with a special load on a quartet bari.

Thanks for two posts.

Kind'a grew up listening to Josh Graves, and every bit of Jerry Douglas I've been exposed to is great.

Mr. Booth is new to me.

I started playing lap steel when I was about twelve. Later, I heard Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes etc., when I was about 30. I knew I could take the lap steel stuff and translate it to the dobro. I have a Beard Vintage R. I love the sound of it. It is a "voicing" instrument.

Love some wassail(w/rum)....

If anyone has a recipe they can share, I'd be much obliged. I've only recently become somewhat familiar with the term and the history and am growing more intrigued daily.

Sounds like it could be just about anything, as long as it's warm and boozy.

I shall be happy to oblige when I arrive home this evening.

Never used a recipe.

Looking forward.

(ETA - Egg nog, however, is not from the hip.)
