Grew up and spent 30 years in Montgomery. Lee High '99. Moved to Daphne for a few years. Been in Auburn for 4 years now.

Graduated AUM in 2010 (I...I partied a lot!)

I'm grizzly, handsome and humble. Once been kicked out of the city of Auburn (see partying above) via police escort. I can quote The Goonies from start to finish. I have accomplished one push up in my life and I'm not a fan. In my teens I enjoyed watching Welcome Back Kotter, Dick Van Dyke show, 3 Stooges and Little Rascals. While also digging The Simpsons, Bevis and Butthead, and Ren and Stimpy. I guess I'm just an old soul full of wisdom but still act 14. Now you know and knowing is half the battle.

Where does your bride to be stand on the most pressing and important AU debate. Who is the best looking AU QB of all time? Cam, Pat Sullivan, Daniel Cobb AKA THE GOAT lol, Brandon Cox, Stiddy or other?! lol Her opinion on this is THE KEY to a happy marriage! haha

She loooooves Cam. Lol She's actually been a Longhorn fan most of her life so she's not as familiar with the past QBs. All it took was one visit for her to fall in love with AU though. :)

Had the distinct honor of working with Jim Fyffe who made me become an Auburn fan. Nobody in my family did an intervention until he had already programmed me.

Fun fact.  I saw the AU Marching Band for the first time in August of 2006 at an exhibition.  They were the coolest thing my 8th grade self ever saw.  That was the day I knew I was going to Auburn

I can hear them practicing every home game morning from my back patio. Just to rub it in.

Dude

Live in Monroe,LA

Here, I mostly hang out in the beer isle, eating Cheetos and reading labels.

Graduate in 1998 with a BS in forestry from Mississippi State(my home state).

I couldn’t swing Auburn, unfortunately. However, I’ve been a lifelong fan. Both of my parents graduated from Auburn in the mid 60’s.

Ok,

Graduated Auburn 1980 Business, majored in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. 60 years old.

Careered with IBM, sales and Management, then consulting sales for Verizon Business and Tata.

Live in Atlanta. Love AU. My wife graduated from AU as well. Think of it every day. Both my kids went to UGA under the Hope Scholly and I would never cheer for them. It did on the other hand save me a bunch of money. War Eagle! Never thought we would do this.

This thread is awesome. One of the best in a long time actually. I think we all needed a mental break from the grind of a long season of coaching from our Lazy Boys. :)

Birmingham AL by way of Tuscaloosa AL, Austin TX, and Lexington KY.

Graduated from Bama in 00 with a EE degree.  Parents worked and have since retired from Bama which is why I had to go to Bama.  Older brother is big Bama fan so to be the opposite of him growing up I chose to be an Auburn fan.

Not sure I can 1-up you on the inside family rivalry but my oldest brother was the top QB in the state coming out of high school and signed and played DB for the evil empire(bama) in the late 70’s and early 80’s never a starter but a big contributor to be a backup defensive back

Ugh. Do I have to give my age? It just sounds so old and I don't feel 58. Sigh.

I live in Dallas, Georgia and I teach kindergarten. It is tiring, rewarding, and hilarious.

Graduated in 1982, with an Art Ed. degree. I started in Architecture, but it was so dang hard and I had to walk all the way across campus late at night, so I went the easier route. That was good, because I enjoyed spring of my freshman year too much and probably would have flunked out of architecture.

Like my name says, I'm a 3rd generation grad. My grandfather graduated in 1916, my dad in 1951. My mom was Miss Auburn in 1951, but didn't graduate. She married my dad and went with him to San Diego, where he got stationed in the navy. She was more passionate (in a classy way) about Auburn than anyone I know. I grew up in Chattanooga, but most of my cousins live in the Birmingham area.

This has been fun. My husband thinks I'm nuts to be on here so much, but I love being able to know something before him and tell him the names and facts about players. He's still way ahead of me on understanding the play calling, but you guys are helping me with that! haha

Thank you guys/gals for participating. I think it helps us all to relate better if we know a little more about each other. I, for one, am surprised at the age of the members on here. Maybe the younguns just didn't post. Seems some have found a common bond with other members here. Although we have different opinions we all love Auburn. I just wanted to get a bit of perspective as to where the opinions were coming from. Also I thought we needed a break from the normal griping and complaining. War Damn Eagle!

My mother is from Opelika so I have been around the program since birth. One of my fondest memories as a child was watching practice and meeting Coach Jordan, Pat Sullivan and Terry Beasley. There is just something special about Auburn.

So, bad news. I have not mellowed - it’s gotten worse, but I think this forum adds to that. ?
