I think Hunter48 has a little better or possibly more connections then I do.  Plus I think his may be unfiltered more.  Mine gets colored with Orange and Blue sometimes.  I think Hunter may have a direct line with some folks in the fold.

Troxell was not a huge priority for bama. Sure they recruited him but didn't really put in any effort. They are with Webb. Nice to hold out hope but Webb will end up at bama.

Doesn’t help enough to win a Recruiting battle either. Relationships with the coaches have to do that typically.

That's essentially what the phrase "can't hurt" means. It's not a significant factor on it's own, but it will fall somewhere down the list of pros and not on the list of cons.

 The point of my post however was to point out that I think a number of fans put too much stock  in  commits Recruiting other recruits. It’s essentially a non-factor other than giving the coaches recruiting the prospects another factor to sell in developing their relationship With the recruiter. I was excited to see what Owen could do  as a recruiter given he has been the most talked about prospect in this class for three years. As great as his talent and potential are Booth proved he turned out to be just another selling piece for our coaches while doing the recruiting, albeit a very nice piece.
