I don't know what the actual distinction is between being a GA and a Volunteer Assistant Coach.  At the practice I attended last week Emily was doing drills with the catchers.  Last Fall at practice  she was hitting grounders to infield during warm ups and does some of the same this spring.  She has clearly been more out front as far as practice involvement compared to the other GA's.  Congrats Emily!  As an aside, I asked my wife to name her top 5 favorite players over the last 3 years we have followed AU softball.  We both had Emily as #1.  High energy, great infielder, clever base runner, clutch hitter.......

We missed her leadership on the team last season.  I think it was a great move to bring her back in some capacity.
