  • WarTiger changed the title to program-record $147.5 million revenue

In the last 10 years our revenue has increased roughly $58M/year. Where the hell is that extra money going? I could see maybe an extra $20M due to rises in coaches/administration salaries, but nearly $60M in added expenses per year?

Need to set aside as much as possible to build a football only complex. This is sorely needed and will be the best game changer and investment that can be done to level the playing field against the turds, Clemson, and so forth.  If I am wrong with my estimate, please correct. I am fairly sure that a football only complex is in the $25,000,000 -$30,000,000 range. I hope that Gus will be persistent and will press the AD to get this done.

The doctor is not wrong....

"The Auburn University Board of Trustees was provided a document with a preliminary budget of $30 million in 2018. Jacobs clarified and said he hopes to have a plan in place 'within the next five years.'"

That number was provided roughly three years ago.

We have 2 years to get it done!  Got to happen sooner than later.  I hope that this is AD Greene's 1st order of business. Is there any plan in place to get this baby off of the ground?

I think the consensus was that all major spending had been put on hold until Jacobs was gone and that the FO building would likely be at the top of the list of things that would happen once Greene gets his feet on the ground and finishes his self imposed "listening" phase.

Jacobs: 11 national titles and 24 SEC championships in his 13 years and record revenue the year he leaves? What a bum.

People forget how many year(S) AU athletics operated in the RED. Year(S). SEC Network was huge for AU. And Jay was stripped of his financial powers a while back.

I love the new AD. Think Greene was a home-run hire for many reasons. BUT, a lot of the people we looked at declined the job because of how big on a mess the AD at AU is in. Financially, even with the HUGE revenues, and internally. Greene has a lot of work to do. Facilities wise we are in the hole, for starters, 1/2 a Billion. That is just for starters. JHS needs that amount alone to be in the top of the SEC as far as stadiums.
