No way! A UAT win at Florida would help their RPI too much. To hell with them, if we win at Florida all will be ok anyway.

Alabama actually dropped 8 spots in RPI after that at Florida win.

Depending on which RPI site you're looking at, they dropped 8 for the week which included a home loss to Mizzou. Pretty sure they were in the 20s before that loss then dropped to the 40s and moved back up a bit after beating UF.

we squeeze this one out that adds another game lead to florida....need somebody to beat tennessee, too to add cushion to them,

But now bammer is even with Florida and they have a better team than Florida. We were better off with Florida in 2nd. Tennessee is in second now but we hold the tie breaker over them. At the moment at least, bammer holds the tie breaker over us so for all practical purposes bammer is our biggest threat, with Kentucky being second biggest. Those two teams have the talent and coaching to catch us if we hit a dry spell.

Yeah, your rpi isnt gonna drop when winning an away game against a top 50 team.

Technically, I think it can. But it doesn't happen very often.

Watching Tennessee play in Knoxville and still wondering how AU made a 14 point second-half comeback on that team.  Glad AU played them early, would not want them right now!  Good to own the tie-breaker on them right now in conference.

Agree. Lucky us.

But we are now gonna catch aTm while they are firing on all cylinders.  That game should be a barn burner!

It did though. Primarily because Oklahoma and other teams on their schedule lost. Which in effect hurt their SOS some. It happens. It's more common to see it happen in baseball or softball but occasionally it happens in basketball too

looking at the schedules, ima' gonna' disagree with you.  Updykes schedule is tough, along with UT.  UF appears to have the easiest route of all 4 of us.  You may end up being right and me wrong, because the conference is really chocked full of good ,but not great, basketball teams and anything can happen.  I just consider UF to be our biggest threat..Magic number is 6 and we all play each other
