EDIT: Readng from the last article, above: "a decision will will be made in the next week or two about his future with the school" Since any number of weeks have passed since that was written, it appears Pearl's position with Auburn is settled and secure.

These articles are old and it's very obvious that things in the investigation have progressed to a point where the Wiley/Purifoy cases have come to a resolution.   Bruce is still on the sidelines and pulling an AU paycheck, so that alone shows that Auburn obtained enough information from BP in their internal investigation that they feel like BP is not a liability to Auburn University at this time.  IF there was a serious issue with BP then he'd have been gone months ago.  

As far as we know, the FBI is done with AU.  Who knows what a full on NCAA investigation will find should it come to that.  IMHO, there are so many programs in this cheating mess that the NCAA will be in way over their heads if they try to investigate every program involved.
