Auburn and Alabama will meet in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament after Collin Sexton's buzzer-beater lifted the Tide past Texas A&M in Thursday's second-round matchup -- and the Tigers are early favorites to win the third meeting between the two rivals.

Auburn, which took home a share of the SEC regular-season title this season, opened as a six-point favorite against Alabama, according to VegasInsider.com.

The line shifted slightly after posting, with Auburn currently a 5 1/2-point favorite in Friday's matchup in St. Louis' Scottrade Center, which takes place at noon and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The teams split their two regular-season matchups, with the home team winning each meeting. No. 16 Auburn took the most recent matchup, beating Alabama by 19 points in Auburn Arena last month. Alabama players expressed relief that Round 3 between the rivals will take place on a neutral floor.

Alabama entered the SEC Tournament on a five-game losing streak before Sexton's late-game heroics kept the Tide's NCAA Tournament hopes alive on Thursday against Texas A&M. Auburn struggled late in the season after a season-ending injury to Anfernee McLemore, but the Tigers beat South Carolina to earn their first SEC regular-season title since 1999 and the accompanying top seed and double-bye in the SEC Tournament that came with it.

If they play their normal game and we play ours we should beat them. I think the only way we lose is if we are ice cold from 3 point land, or if something fluky happens like Petty scoring 26 in the 1st game at ttown.

I would be happy not getting ourselves in a 15+ point hole in the first half.  Seems we do that every game and have to claw our way back.
