Watching the Marshall/Wichita State game. It took 21 minutes of actual time (that's correct TWENTY-ONE) to finish the last 1:55 of the game. Both coaches called two timeouts, the refs had to go verify three or four out of bounds calls, then verify that no coach tried to slip a sub in on a ref's timeout, which for some reason is illegal. One team's players sat down during a 30-second timeout (apparently that's a real no-no) so they then had to let the other guys sit for 30 seconds. It was just plain stupid.

If the ref's calls were good enough for the first 38 minutes and five seconds, what's the problem at the end? BAH HUMBUG!

Didn't see the game, but the 30 second timeout is right.  The players have to remain on the floor and standing.  They can only sit during full timeouts.

I recall hearing a saying, "If you only have a minute to live where would you be, the final minute of a college basketball game."
