What's everyones thoughts on the Masters this year? IMO, this will be one of the most "amped" Masters tournaments in modern times. Tiger can actually compete again in a Major. The excitement is not as far-fetched in light of his performances this year. Rory is also playing well and so is Bubba. Also, we can't forget about Phil. Lots of big names. It'll be a fun ride!!!

Master's is just impossible to pick a real favorite imo. Yes the normal names will be around but usually 3-5 lower rated players as well as foreign players. It is a wonderful tournament and god mean for a golf course to be located there. Heaven on earth just like Pebble Beach

I agree. I just want to see the red and black in contention on Sunday.

I think Tiger will just make the Cut, I wonder how Jordan is going to do, I hope he wins. Phil is also getting hot at the right time.

Jordan is a mind case at times all the talent in the world

The field is wide open as usual at The Masters.  Jordan, Dustin, Justin T, Justin R, Phil, Brooks, etc. and some guy named Eldrick.

I also really like Ted Potter Jr.

Not a bad pick but not enough experience playing Augusta imo. it will overwhelm him

I would take the field against Tiger

I think Tiger would be a great bet. Taking time off prepping old school Tiger way. Could spell trouble.

No-brainer. Not saying he can't or won't win. He's shown enough over the past 3 weeks to convince me that he can win. Still too inconsistent off the tee. There are some spots on that course where you can miss off the tee, but there's such a premium on distance-control at Augusta that playing from the rough or pine-straw can make birdies virtually impossible. Although, his short game is sharp is ever and he's still very long off the tee.

Gotta say, one of my favorite parts about the Masters is seeing some of the older guys pop up on the leader board on Thursday and sometimes Friday. All the sudden you look up and someone like Ben Crenshaw is sitting in 2nd place. He was only in his 50s, but watching Freddy make a run at it a few years ago was one of my favorite Masters ever.

Looks like @NolaAuTiger beat me to it this year, but it is that time of year again. Masters week is officially underway. This truly is my favorite week of the year.

For those who weren't paying attention yesterday, Ian Poulter earned his spot in the Masters field with a clutch win in extra holes at the Houston Open. I've never been a big Poulter fan. He's a flashy sort of guy, and he's played his part in providing the U.S. with some pretty tough losses in the Ryder cup through the years. Still, I rooted for him yesterday. He posted a score of +1 on Thursday, and then followed with rounds of 64, 65, and 67. It was his first stroke play victory ever on the PGA tour. This was his putt on 18 to tie and force a playoff:

Back to the Masters, anyone seen the new pro shop? :hearts:

How about a Monday tradition?

Finally. It's MONDAY at the MASTERS

Rory on No. 1 this morning

The joy of walking through the gates (Tennessee fan can kiss my ass though)

BUBBA blasting some quartz at No. 10. Always like his chances at Augusta.

More to come throughout the week!

Fowler. A name we've seen in contention several times early on Sunday. Personally, I love Rickie. He just can't ever seem to put together 4 solid rounds.

Another name we've seen in contention...some say he'll never win at Augusta. I'm not one of them.

I'm not expecting much out of Sergio this year. He's on cloud 9 - but with all the distractions, I wonder if he's ready to win again.

Most of the guys I root for are American, but there are some great international players who I would be happy to see win. It was a lot of fun to see Sergio win last year. Jason Day is one player that comes to mind. Hideki Matsuyama is another. I've always liked Adam Scott.
