Apparently the kentucky pitcher doesn't like the circle as her front foot was sliding when she planted after the pitch.

The delay has two purposes.  The pitcher doesn't like the landing area.  Grounds crew will try to fix it.  The second purpose is the KY coach is pointing out that Carlson is landing outside od the pitching lane.

It's good to see both Podany and Veach on the field.  I was a little concerned about Podany's back.

Dowell grounds it to the right side, under the glove of the 3rd baseman, shorts stop fields, then double clutches to get it out of her glove then the throw pulls the 1st baseman off the base.  Dowell safe at 1st.     Podany up
