Baseball at Arkansas Game 3

Recommended Posts

On my phone so not going to post the starting lineup, but Holland isn’t in the lineup today. Hopefully it’s a message being sent that gets delivered.

Estes with a 2 run homer....the outfielder deeked the umps and Estes who passes Wright....so we lose a run perhaps.....SEC umps at their best...

  • WarTiger changed the title to Baseball at Arkansas Game 3

Jay Estes hits a two-run homer, the CF dekes to pretend he caught it, Estes passes Brett Wright on the base paths so only one run scores.  4-0.  That CF deserves 96mph in the ear hole next time up.  Bush league BS.

AD Green better start raising hell. This series has cost AU a lot with all the terrible calls. No wonder the team feels discouraged.

not sure how the rule is written, but Estes didn't pass the lead runner.  The lead runner retreated back to 1st and as a result went passed Estes that had rounded 1st base.

Doesn’t it depend on what the umps did? Did they call it out or a HR?of course the TV defuses never said that. If they called out then it is their fault that the base runner got over run.

SEC umps are gonna screw it up....Apparently Estes loses his HR...as noted did not pass the runner....well technically not, because the runner was headed back toward first...

The umps never made a call, completely on them.  Never signaled HR or out

Then that is a huge mistake by umps. They have to make a call one way or the other. BS series of events.

Todd Walker more concerned about Tanner's pause in his motion than two umpiring travesties the past two nights that cost Auburn at least 2 runs

Estes makes a nice play in CF to save a hit and get out of the inning... Arky with only 1 hit thus far....and AU up 4-0

It os obvious that the announcers are pro-Arky and they are home so I get that. The softball game though they seemed pro-Tennessee at AU. Is there a difference in the sports on who announces.

But seriously if no call was made what were the runners supposed to do. One hang on First and the other hang right before first. Makes no sense.

Problem with these college games is many of the announcers don't know the rules....and same goes for some umps....or at least the umps make no effort to explain the reason for their decision .....and so announcers are guessing....and sometimes wrong.   Something for SEC network to work on....

Didn’t see play as I was on my way home but sounds like we got shafted by an umpiring crew for the third time this weekend. This has been officiated incredibly poorly this weekend- I hope the SEC looks at the umps in this series really hard. Guys need to learn the rules
