Like Coach Dean said after the game, there was no way she was going to come out of the game. He said he was afraid if he attempted to take her out he would get body slammed. .During inning 6 & 7 she looked like she could smell blood in the water. So proud of her and proud for her. That is the focus that Martin is missing at times. She could be as good as Carlson with more intensity with two strikes; more intensity with two outs; and more intensity in the late innings. OlderWhiskey 953 Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 agreed, AFE. If y'all remember, Martin pitched the NC game in 2016. She was the best pitcher we had late in 2016. With the bats being cool...there is not much margin for error with the pitching ....she has to convince CMD that she can hold a team scoreless in a tight game....maybe not quite there yet..
