Auburn won its first SEC men's golf championship since 2002 Sunday. With the overall team match deadlocked at 2-2 between AU and Alabama, Wells Padgett’s match with Jonathan Hardee went to the 18th hole on the Ocean Course at Sea Island. It was there that Padgett rolled in a 20-foot birdie putt to clinch the title! #WarEagle 1f985.png

Looking like a possible match-up with Alabama in the quarterfinals tomorrow, but we look solidly locked into match play with Trace Crowe still having a long shot at winning individual title, which I'm assuming is over after today.  Based on the asterisk thing on the site for players playing only individually, that might extend the individual championship into the weekend....I'm sure golf will clarify that.

Also for golf, how do they do tie-breakers for the match-play seedings?  I'd really rather not play Florida tomorrow morning.

AU won this morning and now is tied in the match play of the semis with LSU coming down to the last 3 holes.  Been an exciting match.

Auburn LSU match 3 is coming to the 18th.  AU with a 1 up lead in that one.

Auburn 1 down in Match 4 at the 16th hole.

Auburn 3 down in Match 5 at the 16th hole.

Match 4 with back to back hole wins to go 1 up to 18.  A halve of the 18th would give Auburn the victory.  Still have match 3 going on as well on its second extra hole.  AU down 2 with 2 to go on match 5.

Match 3: Auburn lying 2 on the green.  LSU taking an unplayable off the fairway.  Will be taking their third shot.  Advantage AU

Match 5: Auburn holes a sweeping 25 footer for birdie and wins the hole!  Back to only 1 down to the 18th after being dormie after 15 holes.

Great lag putt on match 3.  Auburn in with a 4.  LSU will have a putt from off the green (about 25 feet) to extend the match
