As for CM tonight....guess his pattern might also have involved pitching the first game of a series rather than watching it..   The loss put him in a "must win" situation which is not usually the case for him.

JMO but that is more significant than pitching a day "early"

well, as possibly being the #1 pick in the draft, he better handle 'any' kind of pressure, if he wants to stay in the major leagues.

we have no clue what is going through his mind pitching second in the series. It could just be Ole Miss knows how to approach his pitching.

Top pitchers have off days. Let's just say Mize is having his.

The "must win" is every game he pitches because that's the way it's been this season in the SEC. It was the same with the FL game.

Don't think it works that way in an important series.  First game is the best one to pitch IMO.  Pressure increases after every loss. Tomorrow there will be a ton of pressure on Burns to prevent a sweep if AU can't start hitting.

And better to have it now than a couple weeks from now.

HBP puts the leadoff rebel black bear coral reef iguana on.  RBI double drives him in.  7-1 and it appears the rout is on

6-3 inning over.  AU down 7-1 after 6.  Time for an awesome comeback, everyone move their change to the other pocket!

Ole Miss can flat out rake.  And on a high school field they can flat out bomb.  Even against the best pitcher in the country.

And I can't stand Mike Bianco, short little turd.  All that talent and one CWS appearance in 17 years.

K for Wright.  10 Ks for Fiegl.  Not sure about his pitching arsenal, but he's got a 91 mph (cutter?) that moves about 2 balls laterally away from RH hitters.

Haven’t been able to hit away from home save for one game against Florida and the Bama series. What’s with our guys man?

This weekend, regardless of all our spirited opinions on the rotation, I believe it can be summed up by: We ran into a national seed.  At their place.  Be nice to at least salvage tomorrow though hopefully.

Games kind of explain some of the disparity in rankings despite the similarity of our records..
