Boy that was a much needed DP...little soft liner to Holland who trots over the 2nd for the final out of the inning...runners were moving....too bad for them...

OK...a little threat...runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out.....Anthony needs to do something .....anything to get one of these runs in...

Whoa....big hopper over 3B allows both runners score....Anthony nailed at second but 2 runs scored......And Holland singles to left bringing Williams to the plate....and AU hitters getting a second look at Hilliard are starting to read his curve...

OK ...two runs in and a couple left on base....would have been nice to get another one or two but Mize has a little breathing room now...

LSU on the board now...double followed by a single and runner scores.....CM missing with some pitches....a little too good....and hittable.

Runner steals second...s

Another hit and unwise dive by Davis trying to make the catch.....ball goes past him and runner scores from second and hitter is on second....

Game tied at 2-2

Dang.....another double and another run.....CM putting balls too much in the strike zone....

Boy got a break there....LSU runner gets caught in rundown and one AU throw is in the dirt but saved....and eventually the runner is tagged out....but batter advanced to second....with two out.

Conor needs to just play some baseball out there.  I really like Judd Ward in LF.

Air out here at plainsman. 4 runs on Mize in the sixth right after Auburn takes a big lead. What are the odds that lsu comes right back and does that to our all star ace in the very next inning? Darn. Just darn. Need more bats now.

Well.....that stinks....get a nice two run lead and then give up a handful of solid hits and now AU down 4-2...

looks like this one might be turning from a pitching duel into a slugfest......they had CM's number that inning....third time to see him and balls not moving for him.

Casey is having another off night......although not as bad as last weekend.

We need to score 4 more to have a shot. I’m sure the air is heavy and Casey is working hard out there. Come on Auburn!

4-2 LSU going to T7.

Mize doesn’t usually get much run support from the guys for some reason and tonight not much different. 2 runs won’t win lots of ball games, gotta find bats.

Would say he had an off inning thus far, not necessarily an off night. He struck out 9 through the first four innings. Some more run support would be nice

AU has depended on him to win it with pitching and it has become a habit that caught up with them a few times. And other teams use their ace to counter-act Casey being almost unhittable. So those games tended to be low scoring....

Mize gets a 1-2 count on leadoff man, then throws three straight strikes.... all called balls by home plate umpire, who by the way, called a pitch that the LSU catcher caught in the dirt last inning a strike. The sixth inning really stunk. Hopefully the leadoff “walk” doesn’t bite us.

Mize’s night is done. Might be the last time we see him at Plainsman Park. What an unbelievable talent.

IMHO he wasn't as sharp tonight from the start. I just didn't get the feeling that he was totally in the zone tonight.

Hated to see it end that way...but he just started losing control ....too many good hittable pitches and the cutter or whatever it was just not moving...

Might have to disagree with you there. One hit and 9 strikeouts through 4 innings is pretty in the zone
