Davis in relief...firing the ball......looks like he's hoping to get by on fast balls....nice K but then a single to right moves the runner to 3rd...runners on corner with one out...

On an 0-2 pitch too. He just can’t get past that. Doesn’t have that ability to finish off the guy. Hope it changes.

I say that and he gets a big strikeout. Runners on corners with 2 outs.

Might have to disagree with you there. One hit and 9 strikeouts through 4 innings is pretty in the zone

He just didn't look quite the same tonight. It might have been the emotion of his last home game. I noticed it right away.

Never seen an auburn pitcher throw the ball that hard, that many times in a row.  The LSU swings weren’t even close to catching up with that 97 mph belt high fast ball

DAVIS DANIEL!!! 2 BIG strikeouts with runner on the corners to finish it off! Home plate umpire doesn’t give him a pitch down the middle the pitch right before the last pitch of the inning so what does DD do? Fires a 97 MPH fastball past the guys bat. Fist pump from DD. Come on Tigers. Score. Runs.

Davis did fine getting out of that inning.....fast balls in the mid 90s+......did not mess around trying to fool anyone..

Meanwhile....4 pitches by Hilliard and AU is back out in the field.....that is TOTALLY weak...

You put a soft throwing guy with a decent breaking ball against this lineup right now and you can feel good about penciling yourself in a W. Rather see a 97 mph flamethrower right now

Hilliard is so accurate. Really amazing control for the most part tonight.

What’s amazing is they hit the breaking ball all over the yard last night. What’s with these guys?

I wouldn't say that....some dinks and bloops off the curve....and some hits off the few fast balls their guys were throwing. ..mostly seems our guys laid off the curves, many of which were out of the strike zone....did not help the LSU pitchers...

Tell ya what, DD is doing everything he can to get his hitters going. He’s striking out batters after some pretty deflating calls by the home plate umpire and coming off the mound yelling into the dugout. Time for these guys to get the message.

DD with he heat again......no point in doing anything else is there.?

AU hitters need to get up there and compete ......that last inning was pitiful......

Nice play by Davis against the wall in left and that's it for a while.....lightening delay...minimum of half hour...
