And from what I've seen in the CWS it won't be long before some team takes the plunge and tries to sign Heimlich despite not drafting him. Probably once one team decides their moral and ethical concerns are not so important after all, I expect he would be in a position to conduct an auction. AU64 10,122 Posted June 27, 2018 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Arkie strikes in the top of the 5....got out of a mess in the 4th....funny call on play at 2nd but I did not get to see the replay...but inning ended without the beavers scoring despite a couple hits. Now arkie has back to back hits and one drives in a runner who walked ....and LH looking to be in trouble.....with 81 pitches at this point and some control issues maybe..yep….loaded the bases with a hit batter.... AU64 10,122 Posted June 27, 2018 Share Posted June 27, 2018 piggies up 4-1 and left bases loaded....got lots of help from LH and the beavers...only 2 hits but error and a couple hit batters kept things moving along for Arky though the had a chance to totally blow it open....and failed to get a solid two out hit. AU64 10,122 Posted June 27, 2018 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Boy, it never looks easy for the piggies….have given up 7 hits and only have 3 themselves but they still have the lead......another OSU runner left on base and that is probably it for Knight....96 pitches and has wiggled off the hook a number of times tonight to keep OSU to just one run. There were three separate moments when he should have gone home and in all likelihood would have been safe, yet there he was still on 3rd when the dust had settled. That's pretty much how OSU played the entire game, just a half-beat from center. Here's hoping they come out on fire tomorrow. The only pork I like is when it's sizzlin' over the heat! BTW, if you missed, Arky nailed an attempted thief....might have gotten the sign and pitched out and had him by a couple yards to end the inning But back to this half of the inning.....Hit batter '(maybe he was HBP) and two runners on and one out. OSU not seeming to get the benefit of the umps lately.... piggie runner at 2nd is getting a lot of attention from pitcher and catcher....both with attempted pick-offs.....close but no cigar. AU64 10,122 Posted June 28, 2018 Share Posted June 28, 2018 OSU pitcher having trouble finding the plate....bases loaded with a walk and behind.2-0 and batter helps him by swinging at ball 3.....and now a wild pitch gets by the catcher and the first piggie run scores without benefit of a hit.... BUT Murphy got 'em 3 up and 3 down pretty easily that inning and has started through the beavers line up the second time which is where something things change for the pitcher... Still 1-0 ...bottom of 3rd.... Gotta give the piggie fans credit.....they have showed up in mass and it sounds like a home game for them.....
