homersapien 11,352 Posted June 29, 2018 Author Share Posted June 29, 2018 I wish they had covered the history of the program a little better. As you know, it started in 93. Some of the earlier homes were made from recycled materials and were really funky. It looks like they have shifted their emphasis more to things that can be more easily mass produced. As a UA engineering student, we participated in related projects to design affordable/effective home septic systems for the Black Belt soils.[One of my professors was big into Engineers w./o Borders, and would also set up "Special Topics" classes for more local projects] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
