It may be a sidetrack from the thread, but the Haunting of Hill House is a pretty decent series.

Only book that ever really, truly scared the dookie out of me. And a very rare movie that is simultaneously faithful to the book while standing quite apart from it and is damned good in its own way. 

I read almost all of King's books through the early 90s and this one remains my favorite by quite some distance. And Kubrick is one of my 3 or 4 favorite directors.

This is one of those movies that really creeps me out to this day.

If I counted the horror movies I watched without her, I’d be well past. Unfortunately, that doesn’t play by the rules.
