But I was also surprised about concern for the other WRs. I know that Stove and Hastings were serious contributors but I have a hard time believing that we can't trot out some reasonable facsimiles in their places. And with Slayton and Davis coming back, and NCM presumably getting at least a little better, and with the positive reviews on Canella, and as you said the TFs we have coming in... I mean, we're definitely losing some things, but it sure seems like we'll have more arrows in the quiver overall.

How would you know this? If you're not at practice every day and having daily contact with a given player, there's no way to tell if trust has been earned or not. There is a staff of coaches that know this score but we fans are not in a position to know it.

I didn't claim to know if trust was applied appropriately. I wrote this: " we fans are not in a position to know it." I made no assumptions.

Oh yeah, that. You somehow failed to recognize that I was speaking generally. As in, in the world, sometimes people don't dispatch their trust appropriately. Do you agree that people make mistakes and that Gus is a person?  Sometimes I wonder.

Of course, anyone watching our football team the last couple years with a modicum of objectivity already knows damned well that Gus has trust issues, but I fully realize who I'm talking to.
