Poll: Will Stidham return for 2019?

  1. 1. I know it's still early in the season and a lot can happen between now and the end of the season, but, so far, Jarrett Stidham hasn't looked like a QB who's ready to take his game to the next level. He certainly has the physical tools, but may need some more development on the mental side. That being said, does anyone think he will return to Auburn for his senior season?

No, he won't, regardless of whether or not you think he looks "ready to take his game to the next level".  There is nothing for him to learn in this offense.  He is better off sitting on any NFL team's bench and letting actual coaches teach him.

Damn. Rough day when everybody's on #TeamMetafour.

Count me in, btw.

This is what I was thinking... When everyone agrees with Metafour it feels a little scary

Notwithstanding the condescension in your post, do you think he looks ready to play in the NFL?

No. Do you think he's getting the training, coaching, and necessary development it will take to make him look NFL ready from the crop of coaches he's been working under at Auburn?

does Eli Manning? the answer is no but he will learn quickly. His goal is to not get hurt and get married.

Not the person you asked, but the question is, does the NFL see a guy that they can get ready? According to everything I've read, they do.

Then if he wants to play at the next level, he's got to weigh the pro's/con's of his situation.  Staying in a program that can't provide you with the tools and resources needed to improve your skills and prepare you for the next level isn't in his best interest. :dunno:

Just wondering what percentage of qbs in the pros had an awesome team around them and A1 coaching during their college career.

Frankly, if he WERE to come back.....we wouldn't want him.  Means he sucked this year.

Just sayin'....

Honestly though, if there were a miracle where all of the non-seniors returned our lineup would be

QB - all returning, RB - all returning, HB - Joiner would replace Cox which is an upgrade athletically, OL - all returning, WR - you lose Davis, Hastings, but they're debatably replaced with more natural talents and a slew of stout receivers, TE- we're getting two true tight ends even though they're freshmen.

Defense would see all of the starters except for the LBs to return

That's my take. I want every single junior on the team to leave for the NFL every season. Except for the OLs. 5 5th-year seniors every other year. I don't know if that's mathematically possible but that's what I want.
