The problem with this logic is that the defense lost all of those games.   With the exception of Ga, the offense did more than enough to win those other games.

The offense scored a feeble 21 points against LSU and basically didn’t play two of the 4 quarters. They scored NINE against MSU and only scored 17 before a garbage time drive against UT. HOW did they do enough, much less more than it??!

Alabama, Clemson, ND or OSU didn’t have a defense good enough to win scoring 9 points. The all time CFB defense would’ve maybe been able to hold their opponents to 8 points or less per game. MAYBE
