Great hire if Gus lets him do his thing. His ass is on the line so I would advise he leaves this dude TF alone.

Let me digest it a little bit.

Initially, he is a good coach and very good at developing QBs. He runs a very flexible offense that plays  to his players strengths. On the other hand, but, Gus...

I actually like this even with Gus calling plays. As long as Dilling is allowed to purely focus on developing the QB without adjusting to Gus’s elementary style of doing so, then your guy Bo could really be something stellar.

Plus if Gus gets fired you can just promote this guy

He's done a really, really good job at Memphis. Young guy rising through the ranks very quickly.

No kidding the fast rise.

“Prior to coming to Memphis, Dillingham served on the Arizona State staff as an offensive assistant in 2014-15. In his time with the Sun Devils, he worked directly with the tight ends and also assisted in recruiting, with his primary focus being the state of Arizona.

From 2007-12 Dillingham served in several coaching capacities with the Chaparral High School football program in Scottsdale, Ariz.”
