The schedule is made up 2 years in advance. Since Big 12 has 10 teams to the SEC's 14, the bottom 4 teams in the SEC do not "qualify" for the challenge. And since the pairings are scheduled 2 years ahead of time, we were still in the bottom 4 of the SEC when the last time the SEC/Big12 Challenge scheduling was created.

Starting next year, unless we really tank the rest of the way and end up 11th or worse in the SEC, we will be in this thing next year.
