We only signed two linemen the first signing period, and this is a guy that can play center, he can play guard. We think this guy can come in and have a chance to help right off the way from Moultrie, Georgia. Octavius "O.C." Brothers (LB, 6-2, 230; Rockledge HS; Titusville, Florida) "What really stood out to our staff is his versatility. He played some wide receiver. He plays linebacker. He plays corner. He can do a lot of different things. I got a chance to watch him play basketball. I know Coach T-Will is extremely excited about this guy. He plays with an edge. He's a very physical guy that can really run." Kameron Brown (LB, 6-0, 230; Lanier HS; Sugar Hill, Georgia) "We're very excited. That's Derrick Brown's brother. He had 187 tackles. I believe he either led the state of Georgia or was second in the state of Georgia in tackles. It really reminds me of a lot of the Deshaun Davis story. A guy that wasn't highly recruited, but he has all the physicality, the want to, all the intangibles." Charles Moore (DL, 6-4, 275; Louisville, HS; Louisville, Mississippi) "He was a guy that was a priority for our staff. Our guys did a super job recruiting him. He was wanted by a whole lot of people. Very athletic. Very strong. I really think this guy has a chance to be an impact player." Mark-Antony Richards (RB, 6-1, 200; Wellington HS; Wellington, Florida) "He's a guy that we recruited for three years. His brother, Ahmmon, was a guy that we recruited very hard that ended up going to Miami, had a great career. We kept in touch. Mark-Antony, I really believe, was the most versatile running back in the country. He can do a lot of different things. He's a great running back, but he catches the ball out of the backfield. I know a lot of people were recruiting him to play defensive back and all that. He really reminds me of Kerryon Johnson. He can do a lot of different things. This guy is a real special player." https://auburntigers.com/news/2019/2/6/football-some-great-players-auburn-adds-five-signees-completes-2019-recruiting-class.aspx National Rank 12 Prev. That's gonna' take one helluva strong close. We did great in holding the early signees and Pickens together during a tough spell, so maybe today will be great too. At this moment it looks doubtful to me.

AU64 7,225 Report post Posted February 6 What ever happened to the good old days of just sitting by the fax machine watching the signed letters roll in? At this moment it looks doubtful to me. I feel fairly confident with maybe four recruits. Hopefully Gus knows something that we don’t. At this point no matter what we do on the OL, we have to be thankful for tbe recruits that we have because it has been an awful season of rumormongering that could’ve led to a mass exodus. If anything else, Gus either stays for years to come, or the next coach finds a full cupboard of talent sans tbe OL. Hopefully we go after more transfers on the OL though.

GwillMac6 7,729 Report post Posted February 6 Free from Niehbur: UM, UGA and UT all are under the impression they have a real shot at Pickens today. Sounds like everyone involved is being told something different.

Mikey 5,567 Report post Posted February 6 2 minutes ago, GwillMac6 said: Having watched Pickens play in a couple of games and the all-star game, this doesn't surprise me a bit. His personality is show-boating. He wants the limelight and this is a good way to get it. I hope he sticks with AU, but the staff will have a big job of de-recruiting to do when he hits campus.

But no matter how much I care about either of them. Little Brown has NO BUSINESS with that number on. They better not have told him he can use 34.
Auburn2Eugene 1,316 Report post Posted February 6 Sorry not trying to be negative, but that number is sacred and isn't supposed to be used.

I'm sure it won't be. 34 was his number in high school. When recruits get Jersey pics it's always with a uniform with their high school number. He won't be 34 when he gets here.
