Actually a great series win UCF wanted this series bad. If they could have taken this series and beat gators on Wed. it would have helped their chances to get into a regional later on

Plus, they could’ve hung another championship banner. 😀

Fun day...wind blowing straight away...anything hit pretty well up into the wind was a threat to go all the way...

Glad you got the good weather you were looking for...safe travels home.  Since you pulled out a big road series win, we're probably gonna' need you to show up in Birmingham in May...regionals and super regionals afterwards.  I'm volunteering for Omaha, but the entire fam (as my man @GwillMac6 says) is invited to that party.  😉

Been to Hoover a couple times when we were there...would be nice to go again.

OK back home....long drive ….decided to eat an extra hour of driving time to stay off I-4 east from Orlando...and I-95 through Jax.   Got home with my BP (not batting average) in a healthy range and not even one close call with someone passing me on the right at 85 when I was doing 75 in the middle lane. ..and no ten mile stretch creeping along at 15mph.   Audio book to enjoy and just an all around good day.   :)

Great weekend....sweep would have been better but yesterday was a typical Sunday game...lots of young pitchers and the hitters fattening up their stats

You coulda told me that before the trip..:)   what a pain that road was from I-95 to our exit at Altamonte Springs. ...Plus in Jax the other road was mess too.   No really good route from NC at the moment I guess.

I grew up in Satellite Beach, which is south of Patrick AFB, and witnessed it all.  We would watch the launch on TV, after about 10 seconds, we walk out of the house and watch it ascend in the sky.  About a minute after that we got the rumble of the launch itself.  Very interesting times and a boon for the area.

I lived in Omaha for a year went to the old Rosenblatt stadium for the series back in 84

We made a point to swing by the site of the Blatt while we were there.  Foul poles and the plate are still there in the parking lot.

The new park is great.  Fantastic sight lines throughout and wide open concourses.  It's right in downtown and you can walk everywhere for bars/restaurants before and after the games.  Plus, for degenerates like me, the casino is a short Uber ride away across the river :)

In Council Bluffs I assume. Place has really cleaned up since I lived there Rosenblatt was nothing special good park but nothing to write home about. Back then the series was not as popular as it is now.

I got that too...went downtown Sunday to meet my uncle at the Peach Valley Café for breakfast.....can't imagine how anyone working downtown survives that day after day.

Yup, Council Bluffs.  My buddies and I went to the CWS a few years ago for the first four days (caught all 8 games).  Spent a couple of evenings making donations over there, but had fun.

You should try to get back.  Omaha is a great mid-sized city.  I love that town (been back a few times for work since the CWS).
