Baseball vs Arkansas Game 1

Weird start to an SEC series on 2pm on a Friday, but here we are. Tigers trail 1-0 here in B4. Burns has pitched Ok, but has thrown 70 pitches through 4 innings. Offense has mustered one hit. Need to pick it up!

Tigers threaten but Williams lines out to Center to end it.

Kjerstad with a 2 run home run and Arkansas leads 3-0. No energy in the air here for Auburn right now. Need somebody to come up with a big play. Kjerstad has some unbelievable opposite field strength.

Hogs were hitting Burns on the button, seemed just a matter of time until one of them connected. Auburn has got to get something from their offense. 11 straight innings without scoring a run for us.

Yep. I believe it moved the runners up and a SAC fly scored one

1-2-3 for Auburn. Tigers have gone 12 straight innings without scoring. Gotta be better. Just got to.

Not only are we not getting any hits/runs but we're not making this pitcher work either. Only 58 pitches through 5 full.

Hard hit single right back up the middle for Arkansas to open the inning. Some hard hit balls off of Burns today.

Arkansas squaring these balls up. Loud out number one on a deep fly ball to center field caught near the track. I posted this on the preview, but we’re going to have to get some help from the offense this series. Arkansas is a good hitting team. They’re not the best in the world, but they’re solid and can scores runs even against very good pitchers. Offense has got to turn in around

A walk puts them at 1st and 2nd with one out, and Arkansas is threatening again. Burns obviously angry with himself

Story here is AU isn’t making the Arky pitcher work even a little bit. 59 pitches through 5 while Burns just hit 103.

Burns gets out of it. Even when he’s not on, he’s hard to score off of. Going B6, Tigers need to chip away.

Davis singles to bring home Woley and the Tigers are on the board. Big time hitting. That was a clutch hit that we really needed. Rally music playing. 2 outs, 1&2 with Steven Williams up.

Lau flies out, but a big inning for the Auburn offense that will hopefully set the tone for the rest of the weekend. 3 runs come across to tie up the game. 

Burns’ day is done after 104 pitches through 6 innings. Carson Skipper is to relive. Figured Skip would start the Saturday game, so looks like it’ll be someone else.

I stop watching the game and Burns gets out of a jam and then the Auburn bats wake up.
