Gowebb11 9,313
At what point as a coach do you tell your bullpen to shut down, and just start rotating position players through as pitchers in these mid week games. This is pitiful.
FUZZYAUFAN 134
Another walk and another run. That is 5 walks in the 7th. To think this pitching staff still has to face 5 more SEC teams ranked in or near the top 10.
SumterAubie 3,031
4 6walks this inning.

tigerbrotha12 2,362
My gosh just lob it up to them at least give your defense some sort of chance.
AU64 10,122
What goes on when these guys are warming up.? Most of these pitches are not even close to being strikes. Talk about killing the "offense".....get a six run lead and then just watch the opponent beat you without even getting serious hits.
Tigerbelle 5,299
Will Morrison.....please throw strikes!
PowerOfDixieland 3,226
This is every bit as bad as the worst I saw from the worst of my 13U team when I finally gave up coaching. Our pitchers cannot throw a strike. Not sure there is a quick fix for what we're seeing on the mound from every pitcher except Tanner Burns. Working slow as friggin' molasses throwing balls, defense has no chance if they do finally find the zone once every 5 or 6 pitches.
FUZZYAUFAN 134
This game may not end until mid night if the Auburn bats wake up. 2 hits and 6 walks in the top of 7.
tigerbrotha12 2,362
Well a weird runners interference called and we get 2 outs, then a quick fly out and no runs scored. Attaboy Will Morrison. See what happens when you throw strikes? Hitters get themselves out about 60% of the time
FUZZYAUFAN 134
Finally an AU pitcher throwing strikes. Now let’s get all those runs back.
tigerbrotha12 2,362
Somehow, still in this thing if the bats get going. 3 frames left. Gonna need zeros by JSU and some crooked numbers by us. Dang this is just maddening. We were once up 6-0 in this game. JSU has outscored us 11-0 since that time.
AU64 10,122
Well that was not as bad as it could have been ….the last 3 runners got stranded to keep the margin to 6.....with three more turns at getting some runs... Not gonna make this one all the way to the end at this rate.....
tigerbrotha12 2,362
JSU pitching has made us look silly since the 3rd inning. Way too much talent on this team for that. What in the world is the deal with this bipolar offense?

PowerOfDixieland 3,226
We just got throttled by a .500 JSU ball club. Somebody might want to throw something and get somebody's attention....
Tigerbelle 5,299
We have talent but it's not ready for prime time. This team is a work in progress.
tigerbrotha12 2,362
That was embarrassing. Hope this is the wake up call the guys needed, because that ain’t gonna fly the rest of this season. Time to man up and start playing some big boy baseball. Holland and Williams gotta get over whatever is hindering them because we’re getting almost no production for two of our most relied upon hitters going into the season. Our staff also needs to get some sort of news on Owen and Daniel. According to what was said when’s DD went out, he should be back by now. Owen has been stated to “possibly be back by this weekend” for about 3 weeks in a row. Need to get some clarity on them so we can figure out roles moving forward. If they’re not coming back, we need to peg some starters and get them on a schedule. Bullpen days are not good because you never know who you’re gonna have available, or need, and that messes you up in the midweek. Them getting back would take some tremendous pressure off the bullpen. Lastly, as a team, we’ve got to focus. You should never lose a 6-0 lead to a .500 JSU team in your home ballpark. Should never happen. Time to grow up Auburn, time to quit d*cking around.
tigers23 648
This is very concerning. Team is greatly underperforming. No excuse for walks, just a lack of concentration.
Gowebb11 9,313
Every pitcher who took the mound tonight looked like a nervous wreck. A couple of them looked like they were gasping for air. Tanner and Cody are the only 2 who take the mound with an heir of confidence and poise. I can understand freshman jitters if you’re pitching against an SEC west foe, on the road. But when you pitch scared against Jax State at home in a mid week game, that’s a problem. Coach Smith has his work cut out for him.

Coach Smith has his work cut out for him. It's not just the pitcher, they need help from the guy behind the plate and he isn't giving it. Not saying he's the one walking batters...he's just not helping to calm the storm inside those young pitcher's heads. The problems are a lot mental and his head seems to be spinning as well. I think the guy we miss the most on a daily basis is Brett Wright....

Although fans may not have any idea about the recovery timetable and return dates of DD and JO.....the coaching staff has that information, and will make decisions accordingly.
