Ignorance personified. As if we needed that confirmation from you homes. :homer:

At first glance, 70/80 percent choose to remain America. Our population centers, polluted with freaks, are desirous of some ignorant form of global equality.

I am content with America's greatness, thank you very much.

Such an eloquent rebuttal!  One worthy of your intellect.

Truth slaps your whiny senile old a$$ squarely in the face and you resort to personal attacks. Go figure. :homer: But for giggles, back at you old fart.

Surely you recall the subject of individual freedoms being addressed by the founders and in the founding documents.

Which ones of those do conservatives purportedly seek to manipulate?

Sorry, but you lost me there.  What are you talking about?  :dunno:

The only way that could “lose” you such that you don’t know what I’m talking about is if you ignored the context of the exchange you chose to join in.

I would suggest you read the comment I quoted initially.

No, in fact, that's exactly why I am confused.

You didn't mention anything about "conservatives manipulating anything" in your initial response - you only questioned what liberties are mentioned by the founders.  Here's your post:

(Nola) Such as?

That clearly is a simple question asking what those concepts of individual freedom are.

So if you actually meant to address something that AURex said or implied, about "individual freedom(s) our country was founded upon", you needed to be more precise.

I don’t, but thank you for your concern.

Well, you called me an "elitist" simply because I pointed out the fact that cities are centers of innovation in culture, including economics.

Calling me an "elitist" implies you have a degree of resentment over that truth - or to anyone who expresses it - for whatever reason.

Of course, you can always simply dispute the statement on a factual basis, without calling me an elitist.  Then, you would simply be wrong instead of wrong and resentful.

From the guy who doesn't believe the real science of climate change and does believe in an economic  system that has failed every time it has been tried. 😄

Wrong. I do not need to be more precise for you. You, on the other hand, should exercise more diligence. You need to read the entirety of his post, as quoting all of it was not necessary for me to do, given he necessarily knew the context in which the remark I responded to was made.

If you would like to go back and read his post in full, please do. If not, this is a waste of time.

Sorry, but if you're going to jump into an exchange, you cannot disregard context at whim - especially when it was expressly provided. Very bad form for the serious forum.....

That's not true.  And what a stupid, simple-minded thing to invent!

I believe in the actual science associated with AGW as determined by every reputable scientific organization in the world representing virtually all scientists in the field.

I believe capitalism is easily the best way to promote production, it's just not the sole way to optimize our society.  Any honest person has not problem understanding that.

So, if you are going tell us what I think, get it right.  (Just like I did by referring to the amazingly ignorant and gullible crap you have actually said.)

stand by my post.

You didn't quote his entire post, much less highlight whatever part you were taking issue with.  (See below).

Maybe it didn't represent your actual point, but if so, it's not my job to go back in the thread and research what you may have been referring to.  Frankly, your post didn't even seem ambiguous.

Based on what you quoted and your response, it is perfectly logical for anyone to conclude you were asking what references were made to individual freedoms by our founders.

So in the future, I suggest that if it's necessary to make your point, quote the part you are actually responding to.

In this case, you failed to do so.  So just own it and stop blaming others for their "lack of diligence" when the problem is yours.   It's the mature thing to do. ;)

I love America. I'll not hide from that. I've been fortunate to live and serve in multiple countries. I like ours and will not be part of attempts to destroy it. Not complicated homes.

You're trying too hard. If you feel compelled to join an exchange, the duty is yours to grasp the context (it is expressly provided). The ball is not hidden. Do better.

I am not "trying" nor did I feel compelled to join in an "exchange".  I was responding to the post you made.

And you provided no context.  None. You didn't even include the part you were taking issue with (whatever it was).

You do better.
