I think Gary Taylor is the ultimate answer, but if things do go south, I think Auburn would be one of the only college jobs Marsh would be willing to go back to.

after reading his interview, there is no way Marsh would come back to the south, unless closeness to family in FL would be important to him. He has too much entrenched now in the San Diego area, and his whole family is involved out there he said. Plus he likes the freelancing he is doing and the freedom to do variable things in swimming. Being a HC again in the SEC would be to structured for him...

Doesn't sound like he's interested in trying to work with in the system which changed from when he was at Auburn. As an Auburn fans, I hate it, but it's the landscape of college swimming these days, best I can tell, and that's not where Marsh's heart is anymore. The sport on an international level has clearly changed, and we're getting left in the wake, so to say.
