Not the most electric athleticism I've ever seen but he seems to play with an attitude. Takes great pleasure in bullying smaller players and putting them on their asses. Not afraid to let a guy know it if he runs over him. If there's room in this offense for a blocking TE who is a threat to catch an occasional pass, hell yeah, get this mean SOB in our locker room.

Smaller players that he can put on their asses will be few and far between on SEC Saturdays. The Pegues guy we signed with the 2020 class might do that, he's 6'2" and 260. This Lott dude will have to beef up a good bit just to keep from getting tossed around by SEC D-linemen, let alone put them on the ground.

@aucanucktiger moved your post to the 2021 recruiting thread since we are already discussing Lott in the thread & because with all the TEs we have offered we don't know yet if Lott is a top target.

Was he a #UTWildBoy? Was that around the time Kiffin was turning lights off and Ogre was ripping his shirt off? Perfect match if so.

He eventually ended up playing at Arky State for Gus the 1 year he was a Head Coach in Jonesboro. Had over 1k yards rushing in Malzahns only year there as head coach.

Because of the Corona Virus I believe I read somewhere on here there is no visiting the recruit or the recruiting visiting us. I am assuming all recruiting is now via phone or Social media which makes the sale a little harder for everybody.  Do we have any recruits who appear might be ready to commit in the not to distant future or is everybody just waiting to see how Corana Virus plays out over next few months.

The NCAA has made this an extended dead period going through at least April 15. That is likely to be extended so our communication would have to be through the normal dead period channels which are by phone, text, and social media outlets. There have been no word on any of our target standings as to whether anybody is close to committing. I assume at this point most everyone is in a holding pattern except for just staying in Communication with each other.

10 Auburn-Georgia recruiting battles for 2021

The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry hasn't just produced great games, it has seen Auburn and Georgia battle it out in dozens upon dozens of notable recruiting battles. While those fights have happened in multiple states, most seem to occur in Georgia. That, of course, makes perfect sense. Not only are the Bulldogs located there, but Auburn sits not far from the Alabama-Georgia state line. The state of Georgia, in fact, is just as important (some would say more so) to Auburn recruiting as is the Tigers' home state. Then, there is this -- with Georgia's population explosion in recent decades, the state never has been more loaded with talent. Florida is another major battleground for the Tigers and Dawgs. It, too, is a key state for both programs. While Georgia historically recruits at an extremely high level, Auburn is no slouch. In fact, the Tigers have had their share of big recruiting wins over the Dawgs (see Owen Pappoe and Zykeivious Walker). When the teams tangle this season, several key Tigers will be players Auburn landed by beating out the Dawgs. On the flip side, more than a few Georgia starters were once big Auburn targets. And that will continue in the 2021 cycle, as both teams are in the mix for several elite prospects. To say the least, it's a great rivalry on and off the field. Here's a look at 10 prospects, with help from Kipp Adams of Dawgs247, that Georgia and Auburn each hope to land.

RB Cody Brown, Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview

Position: Running back

Height/Weight: 6-feet, 225 pounds

Ranking: No. 125 overall player, No. 9 RB (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: After rushing for 1,676 yards and 20 touchdowns during his junior season, Brown has emerged as the early top tailback in Georgia. He has been a regular in Athens and thinks highly of the Dawgs. With running backs coach Dell McGee looking to once again take two tailbacks in this cycle, Brown is one to watch moving forward and he will likely make it to Georgia again multiple times before a decision is made.

Why it could be Auburn: Brown is extremely high on Auburn and always has been. He has visited the Tigers as much as anyone and has developed a strong relationship with the staff, notably area recruiter Travis Williams and running backs coach Cadillac Williams. Auburn would like to take two backs for 2021 and Brown is believed to be among the top three or four targets.

RB Lovasea Carroll, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Position: Running back

Height/Weight: 6-feet, 189 pounds

Ranking: No. 122 overall player, No. 8 RB (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: The former South Carolina commitment once had Georgia as his top program. If the Dawgs pursue, they could be tough to beat for the Peach State native. And with Georgia needing to sign two tailbacks this cycle, there is always a chance that McGee turns up the heat for Carroll later in the year.

Why it could be Auburn: A Georgia native, Carroll has made two known visits to Auburn. and each time got the treatment of a priority recruit -- and after both trips he came away impressed. He planned to return April 10 for his first official visit, but with on-campus visits suspended for the time being, that's off for now. There's a lot of competition for Carroll's signature, but the Tigers have as good of a chance as anyone right now.

WR Mario Williams, Plant City (Fla.)

Position: Receiver

Height/Weight: 5-feet-10, 165 pounds

Ranking: No. 40 overall player, No. 4 WR (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: Receivers coach Cortez Hankton is going to pull a top wideout from either the state of Florida or Louisiana this cycle, if not both. While a quartet of receivers from Louisiana have already been targeted, double-digit pass catchers from Florida hold offers from the Dawgs, with Williams being highly thought of in Athens. Georgia Kirby Smart checked in at his school last in January and he took a visit to Georgia as well. He's the type of player who could be productive in a Todd Monken offense and he is very high on the new coordinator. The pitch to play baseball and football is one that he has been very receptive to so far.

Why it could be Auburn: To be honest, Auburn feels like a long shot here. At least at the moment. That said, Williams did visit Auburn in February and that trip went well. Not only did he meet with the football coaches, but Williams spent tine with the Auburn baseball staff. Williams did not put Auburn on his recently released top five (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Oklahoma) yet he continues to communicate with the staff and give off the vibe that he's interested. Right now, many see the Sooners as being the favorite for this talented recruit.

OT Amarius Mims, Cochran (Ga.) Bleckley County

Position: Offensive tackle

Height/Weight: 6-feet-7, 315 pounds

Ranking: No. 8 overall player, No. 2 OT (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: As the top-ranked prospect in the state of Georgia, the Bulldogs have theirs eyes set on landing another touted offensive linemen. And, most think they lead for Mims. They've had great success in recent years attracting elite tackles to campus. In fact, they signed the Nos. 2 and 3 tackles in the country in the 2020 class. Can new offensive line coach Matt Luke have the same success his predecessor -- Sam Pittman -- did? This would be a huge win if he can pull if off.

Why it could be Auburn: Mims might be sitting behind Georgia and Alabama at the moment (in our opinion), but the Tigers are in a better spot than they were just a few months ago. A trip to Auburn for the Iron Bowl, followed by visits in February and March have helped position Auburn as a legitimate contender. The Tigers' need -- and the chance to play early -- has given Auburn a boost. Also, there is chatter behind the scenes Mims may want to leave the state (for the record, he has not said that, or even hinted at that). New offensive line coach Jack Bicknell is battling Luke, his former boss at Ole Miss. Mims will announce his decision in October.

OL Micah Morris, Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County

Position: Offensive tackle/guard

Height/Weight: 6-feet-4, 315 pounds

Ranking: No. 73 overall player, No. 11 OT (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: Georgia has long been considered the team to beat here and Morris has visited the Bulldogs more than anyone else. The confidence level apparently is fairly high in Athens. Morris was close to announcing a commit decision a few months ago, but the departure of Pittman from Georgia caused him the pump the brakes. Apparently, Morris and Luke have connected thus far as that has the Bulldogs in a seemingly good spot.

Why it could be Auburn: Before Morris postponed his commitment, Auburn was thought to be Georgia's biggest competition. In fact, some sources told us Morris' family actually preferred the family oriented environment in Auburn over Athens. Morris and his parents had a great relationship with J.B. Grimes, but he left his position as Auburn offensive line coach in January. Bicknell, Grimes' replacement, now is trying to build a similarly strong relationship. In addition to being Morris' position coach, he's now his area recruiter so he should see Morris often once off-campus recruiting resumes. Morris planned to visit Auburn in March. With that visit off for the time being, that certainly doesn't help. Florida and Florida State are a couple other programs to watch.

OL Dylan Fairchild, Cumming (Ga.) West Forsyth

Position: Offensive tackle/guard

Height/Weight: 6-feet-5, 298 pounds

Ranking: No. 343 overall player, No. 20 OG (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: The Bulldogs just recently offered Fairchild and the lore to sign with the in-state school will be strong. Although Fairchild is rated as a guard, Georgia has told him he'd likely play tackle. Fairchild, a heavyweight state wrestling champ, has emerged as a major Bulldogs target and Georgia hopes to land a quartet of highly ranked in-state offensive linemen this cycle. According to Fairchild, his father is a die-hard Georgia fan.

Why it could be Auburn: While Georgia has brought in several elite tackles in recent years, Auburn hasn't. The Tigers have a much greater need at that position -- which is where Fairchild wants to play. The opportunity to play earlier almost certainly is at Auburn, which offered him long before Georgia and already has cultivated great relationships with Fairchild and his parents during two visits to the school.

LB Smael Mondon, Dallas (Ga.) Paulding County

Position: Linebacker

Height/Weight: 6-feet-3, 220 pounds

Ranking: No. 23 overall player, No. 2 OLB (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: Georgia did not sign an inside linebacker in the previous class -- and that combined with Mondon's obvious skill makes him a big target in Athens. Georgia linebackers coach Glenn Schumann hopes to load up at inside backer and in Mondon, he would gets an elite in-state talent who can do it all. Georgia leads in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Why it could be Auburn: Mondon has only visited Auburn twice, but the Tigers have made him a priority recruit. He's an automatic no-brainer take. Secondary coach Wesley McGriff is his area recruiter and he has teamed up here with linebackers coach Travis Williams. According to our intel, Mondon is extremely high on the Auburn board. Williams has locked in on him and another Georgia product, Barrett Carter. The Tigers believe they're very much a factor and hope that relationship with Williams can take them over the top.

LB Barrett Carter, Suwanee (Fla.) North Gwinnett

Position: Linebacker

Height/Weight: 6-feet-1, 220 pounds

Ranking: No. 54 overall player, No. 4 OLB (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: The Crystal Ball is 100 percent in favor of Georgia and that school is closest to home, which never hurts. The Bulldogs are recruiting him as an inside backer and they didn't sign one the last cycle -- so the need is there. Because of that, Georgia is selling early playing time hard and Carter is listening.

Why it could be Auburn: Carter not only is close with Williams, the Auburn linebackers coach, but has family who attended Auburn and family that lives in the area. During recent visits to the school, he felt comfortable and at home. That's always big. Auburn could play Carter at outside or inside backer and has told him that versatility could get him on the field early. Auburn is very much in this one. Clemson is another team to watch here.

LB Xavian Sorey, Graceville (Fla.)

Position: Linebacker

Height/Weight: 6-feet-3, 214 pounds

Ranking: No. 61 overall player, No. 5 OLB (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: Georgia seems to have made Sorey a priority and thus far, that appears to be paying off as many feel the Bulldogs and Alabama are currently battling for the top spot. Smart attended one of his basketball games this winter and Sorey has loved his trips to Athens. One absolutely could see Sorey signing with the Bulldogs.

Why it could be Auburn: Sorey has visited Auburn three times and that school is the closest SEC program to his home in the Florida panhandle. While Smart and Alabama's Nick Saban have been to see him, Auburn's Gus Malzahn has not yet done that. Malzahn did, however, speak to Sorey via telephone Thursday and Sorey's relationship with Williams, Auburn's linebackers' coach, continues to grow. Auburn is a factor, but has some work to do.

DT Lee Hunter, Eight Mile (Ala.) Blount

Position: Defensive tackle

3COMMENTS

Height/Weight: 6-feet-5, 292 pounds

Ranking: No. 41 overall player, No. 6 DT, (in the industry generated 247Sports Composite).

Why it could be Georgia: Before Hunter committed to Georgia last December, Georgia was one of the programs that was heavily involved with him. With Hunter being one of the top handful of defensive tackles in the Georgia recruiting footprint that made sense. Now, Hunter says he'd like to officially visit the Bulldogs. That's a move Auburn no doubt will attempt to block. If that trip takes place, anything is possible.

Why it could be Auburn: For starters, Hunter already is committed to Auburn. He grew up a Tigers fan and extremely close to the Auburn staff, notably defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and defensive line coach Rodney Garner. One source told us that as long as Steele is at Auburn, than that's where Hunter is going.
