Here are some notable performances from last week’s games involving Auburn commits and targets. …

After amassing more than 5,000 yards of offense in 2018, Auburn 4-star receiver commit Kobe Hudson of LaGrange (Ga.) Troup began the 2019 campaign in with another ridiculous performance.

In a 65-24 Troup win over Ridegland (Ga.), Hudson, who plays quarterback for Troup, couldn’t be contained.

Per Kevin Eckleberry of the LaGrange (Ga.) Daily News, Hudson accounted for six — yes, six — touchdowns. Three came through the air. Three came on runs.

Wrote Eckleberry: “Hudson threw touchdown passes of 44 and 37 yards to Mark-Anthony Dixon, and he tossed an 80-yard scoring strike to Zy Varner. Hudson also had touchdown runs in the second half covering 10, 55 and 12 yards.”

Per Georgia High School Football Daily, these are Hudson's final stats: 14-of-18 passing for 326 yards and three touchdowns, plus 240 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries.

-Four-star Auburn receiver commit J.J. Evans of Montevallo (Ala.) recorded six catches for 118 yards and three scores. That included a 44-yard touchdown per the Shelby County (Ala.) Reporter. He now has 12 catches for 165 yards through two games.

-In a 34-20 win over Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln, 4-star safety target Ladarius Tennison of Rockledge (Fla.) recorded three rushing touchdowns.

-In a 21-0 win over Ellsworth Community College (Kan.), 4-star corner target Brian George of Highland Community College (Kan.) had two tackles (all solo) and his first interception of the season.

-Armoni Goodwin, Auburn’s 4-star 2021 running back commit from Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.), is off to a great start this season. One week after topping the 200-yard rushing mark, he had another big game. In a 47-19 win against West Forsyth (Ga.), Goodwin had 17 carries for 125 yards and three touchdowns. That gives him 343 rushing yards and seven touchdowns through two games.

-Two Auburn commits shined in Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark's 41-0 win over Cherokee Bluff (Ga.), which was Denmark's regular-season opener. Aaron McLaughlin, a 2021 4-star Tigers quarterback commit, threw for 253 yards with three touchdown passes with no picks. Meanwhile, 4-star Auburn receiver commit Ze'Vian Capers caught four passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Capers, who is listed at 6-feet-3.5, 195 pounds, is the No. 116 overall recruit nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

-In a 27-7 win over Birmingham (Ala.) Ramsay, 5-star Pinson Valley 2021 cornerback target Ga'quincy McKinstry had four receptions for 35 yards and one touchdown. The score covered 9 yards.

-Four-star corner commit Marco Domio started at corner for Blinn College in a 27-24 loss to Tyler Junior College (Texas). Domio had two tackles (one solo).

-Three-star offensive tackle commit Jonathan Buskey started for Coffeyville Community College (Kan.) in a 40-29 loss to Fort Scott

Here are some notable performances from last week’s games involving Auburn commits and targets. …

-4-star 2021 running back commit Armoni Goodwin, Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.): In a 40-33 win over two-time Class 6A defending state champion Pinson Valley, Goodwn rushed for 218 yards and four touchdowns with former Pinson star quarterback Bo Nix (now at Auburn) watching from the sidelines. Three of his touchdown runs covered 30 or more yards. One of them came late in the game to give his team the lead. Goodwin is the No. 3 running back in the country for 2021 according to the industry generated 247Sports Composite. He committed to Auburn over the summer.

-In the same game, 5-star Pinson Valley 2021 cornerback Ga'quincy McKinstry scored on a 26-yard touchdown reception. Per Al.com, he finished with five catches for 41 yards.

-In a 20-16 loss to Fort Scott Community College (Kan.), 4-star corner target Brian George of Highland Community College (Kan.) had three tackles (all solo) and returned two kickoffs for 42 yards.

-In a 45-0 Lakeland (Fla.) win over Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee, Auburn quarterback commit Chayil Garnett did not play because he’s injured. However, 4-star cornerback target Kendall Dennis scored on a 52-yard punt return and was part of a defense that held the ‘Canes to 36 total yards.

-In a 17-14 loss to Hoover (Ala.), Auburn 4-star commit Javion Cohen of Phenix City (Ala.) Central started at left tackle.

-4-star safety target Ladarius Tennison, Rockledge (Fla.): In a 19-7 Rockledge win over Ware County (Ga.) on the road, Tennison did a little bit of everything for the Raiders. He returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for one touchdown, went 18 yards for a touchdown run on 4th-and-1, tallied six tackles, intercepted a pass and broke up another pass. Tennison will announce his college choice next month. Auburn leads.

-Four-star Auburn running back commit Tank Bigsby of Hogansville (Ga.) Callaway rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries and added 25 yards on two receptions, but was credited with two fumbles and a bad exchange from the quarterback resulted in another turnover. Callaway lost to Opelika (Ala.) 10-7.

-Four-star corner commit Marco Domio started at corner for No. 11 Blinn College in a 62-7 victory over Texas A&T on Saturday. In limited action (because of the score), Domio had a fumble recovery, tackle and pass breakup.

-Three-star offensive tackle commit Jonathan Buskey started for Coffeyville Community College (Kan.) in a 36-14 win over Iowa Western.

-Four-star Auburn receiver commit J.J. Evans had six receptions for 47 yards and a 21-yard score in a 41-14 loss for Montevallo (Ala.) against Marbury (Ala.).

-In a 21-12 win over Hollywood (Fla.) McArthur, 3-star Auburn receiver commit Elijah Canion of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna did not play because of a hamstring injury. He is cleared to play this week, he said.

-5-star Auburn linebacker commit Trenton Simpson, Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek: In a game stopped by lightning with the scored tied 27-all, Simpson rushed for 182 yards. Needing him more at running back, his team didn't play him much at linebacker in this game. Simpson is the highest-ranked prospect on the 2020 Auburn commitment list, just ahead of running back Tank Bigsby.

Huge nights for these two last night.  I know Hudson had 5 TD's.  Tank was running at will against LaGrange and may not have even played from mid 3rd on.  Regardless of competition these guys are good.

  • Thanks 1

It's not Tank to my knowledge. It is the RB committed for 2021 Armani Goodwin.
