"ABC News regrets the error," in other words, gets caught!

Wouldn't know. I suspect your definition of reasonable differs wildly from mine though. ---I sure hope so.

So why even let it concern you. You just seem to want to make a big deal out of simple things, including some that don't even involve you and you have no idea what the PM is about.

When it comes from most of the MSM,  you can bet it is an outright lie or erroneous slanted.

That’s one approach to avoiding facts! Dismiss everything you don’t want to believe! 👍🏻

Not every leftist you interact with here is a howler monkey, sweetheart.

Yea, I guess I would be the non-Howler monkey.

78% of the American Electorate now consider a story on the MSM to be a justification to Google the truth. The MSM are so committed to Narrative Journalism that even the lesser informed of the American Electorate can plainly see it. You have to ask yourself why the other 22% dont see it. How can you not see it?

Oh, and you're not where Trump is concerned?  You have got to be kidding, right?

The reason the MSM lost credibility with the American Public was:

1) a reported 544K articles, videos, segments etc on "Russian Collusion" that was later proved to be more or less nothing.

2) the MSM assured us in 2016 that "HRC just cannot lose" and then she lost.

3) Jason Blair printing articles in the NYT for years that were more or less complete fiction.

4) How about Brian Williams misleading the public for years on his track record of reporting?

5) Dan Rather and his completely discredited Bush43 AWOL letters?

6) John Kerry's 36 year bogus history about being ordered into Cambodia Christmas of 1968 by Nixon...who wasnt even in power until January of 1969...The Pajamas Media Crowd blew up that 36 year story bought hook line and sinker by the DC Elites. If you asked about it now, they would still site it as fact I bet.

7) Recently on Maher, there was a celebrated psycho out still pedaling that Gore won FL in 2000. This despite book after book, report after report showing that at no time did Gore ever overcome the Bush43 lead, no matter how you counted the ballots.

Could go on and on and on and on...There have been myths and outright BS from the MSM in America for decades. I think sane people in America would and should be skeptical of anything the MSM says in this country.

What’s the benefit they gain for purposely doing this?

An easy, inexpensive, sensational pot shot at President Trump. Unless, of course, they get caught. Now they'll hide their heads in shame for three hours and then resume with their program of semi-truths, twisted truths and outright lies.

Trump’s grievance culture— him and his followers see every incident as part of a plot against Trump. But don’t call that a cult.

That applies to  some degree to most everyone these days because facts are hard to come by due to a biased media. We have seen proof of that for ABC and CNN in the last few days.

"MSM" has obviously become a totem for the conservative grievance crowd. :-\

It's a way for them to deny or dismiss the reporting of inconvenient facts as being simply untrue.  Never mind that these facts ultimately get corroborated by various other media sources.  And never mind the fact that reputable media sources print retractions or corrections when they make the occasional mistake.

Moral of the story:  Get your news from the more reputable sources (plural) and maintain some healthy skepticism until the story plays out over time.

Occasional mistakes?? My butt. Bold face liars most of the time who have no shame, or ethics, in reporting rumors, half truths, lies and damn lies.

Just another extension of the left wing, lunatic and demonic democrat party.

Sssooo 544k articles on Russian Collusion that was all but not there is just a simple over sight? A mistake?

Manufactured letters from a Colonel that died in the early seventies that were processed on Microsoft  Office 2003 version of Word those were what exactly? A “conservative” totem? He came back from the dead just to talk about Bush43 and his trips to the Dentist?

Jason Blair wrote wholly, obviously, false stories that NYT reporters went to their bosses about and yet the NYT still published his stories while other competent writers were punished for speaking up.

Early last year, CNN pushed a story by Manu Rahj that stated that there were emails linking DJT and others to Wikileaks and dated days before the Wikileaks disclosures. By 1300 EST everyone in news knew the story was bogus. But CNN kept pushing the story until 1730. Of course DJT got exactly what he wanted, a current example of bad journalism. CNN still stands by the story saying they did their due diligence and may update it later. Of course they won’t, but they never admitted they got the story wrong either.

This isn’t about Totems. It is about real life bad journalism that so many find inexcusable. Dismissing bad journalism simply because it suits your narrative is the worst thing going. What are you going to do when the story doesn’t suit you?

The problem is people so desperate to rewrite history that they are willing to just commit lies to history.

For those of you thinking I am excusing Fox News, Breitbart, Etc. I am not. They publish BS every single day. If you quote Fox News, i wont even do the link. I just refuse to go have to take a bath after reading/watching some of their stuff. Ever wonder why almost every one of Fox's people look so much alike? they wear their hair the same, same clothes, etc. If i showed you a picture of the Fox Babes we could tell blonde jokes for the next year...

Image result for Fox news stepford wives

Fox isnt hard news, its more like soft porn...

Hogwash.

I cannot remember the last mistake that PBS made, although I am sure they have made one - and corrected themselves as soon as possible.

And the other major, reputable news media companies wouldn't stay in business if they trafficked in lies. (That's the great thing about free markets.)

You obviously don't understand the role of a free press in our society.

This kind of refutes your previous post doesn't it? You should check out the education level of those FOX "babes" as you call them. In any event most people disagree with you since Fox remains the #1 prime time cable news and CNN is now dead last.

Having said that  I add that I respect your opinion and ask what media do you trust these days? Actually I don't watch much TV news but just scan it online.

Mrs. Salty refuses to watch Fox. Changes the channel or leaves the room. Do not think it is because of the "babes" because she does not mind me watching Weather Channel and commenting on how nice Stephanie Abrams sweater looks some days.

She’s too classy for Fox. 😉
