Fella, it's about supporting the team. Clearly you are over reacting. Calm down before you have a stroke. You are a prime example of knee jerk reactors

Your telling me what i should do with my personal property and i disagree with you and you call that knee jerking? Fella?

I have spent THOUSANDS supporting this team and the University. So yea i can have an opinion.

BTW it's Mr. Fella.

having the nations 11th ranked team booed at home

Do you seriously believe the fans were booing the players on the field who were lined up looking at the sideline for about 35 seconds waiting on a play call from the head coach on the sideline? You're either playing devil's advocate, arguing for the sake of arguing, or being deliberately obtuse/trolling.

There were fans booing Nix specifically yes.  And I can say this because I was at the game in person.

Thanks. Didn't hear that over the TV. I would agree those fans are classless, but every University has some bad apples. Some more than others. Hopefully someone in hearing distance told them to knock that bush league stuff off.

Things people were saying was really trying to my patience.  I would have said something if I didn’t have clients who are also ticket holders next to me.  The most frustrating thing was when they are going off on Anders when if they actually did any homework would have known he had a brand new holder for this game, causing the timing to be way off.  Anders almost tripped on one of the plays because the timing was so out of whack.

There are several reasons to leave a night game besides not liking what you see in the field. Some of the reasons have been posted in this or the post game thread. Students are local of course but when you buy tickets ahead of time you don't have a clue when the kickoff will be. Some could have a long drive and pardon me for saying this but a 6 point win over this Ole Miss team is disappointing no matter how you look at it. People have church, jobs or babysitters to get home to and many of them may have left early no matter what was going on on the field.

Well then, I'd say Christians were represented well last night...which is a good thing..

I was at the game, and stayed 'till the end. From my observation, it looked like the fans that were leaving were trying to beat traffic and thought the game was well in hand. Nothing more.

now they're not a family lol...Its a damn shame players are taking up slack, saying things the coaching staff should be saying. This doesnt involve them

To reiterate what's been said by many, the players are the subject of zero percent of the frustration.  That said, I get how they will use pictures like that one to put a chip on their shoulder.  Good.

Also, I've seen recent former players make some of the same criticisms on social media as fans are.  I get that they're probably "allowed" to without pushback because they've been in their shoes, but honestly the amount of focus put on it by the current players is surprising to me.

it was mostly students, particularly frat pledges.

Scan the students as they leave. Strike the consistent blocks/individuals and get tickets to students that really want them.

They already keep track of the attendance in the blocks and punish/reward accordingly..  The Auburn SGA created this mess a couple years back by making it borderline impossible to sell/transfer your student ticket to someone who might want it.  When I started, it was as simple as giving someone your Ignited card.  Now, I believe (not familiar with 2019 rules) it's restricted to the owner of the card and there exists a complicated, dumb "guest pass" system if you want to bring anyone else in.

Also, if you're going to use the students as hostages in this situation, why not do it to everyone else in the stadium too?  Leave at halftime of a boring game in 40 degree weather one too many times?  No more season tickets for you.

The last 7 years with Gus. How can anyone be upset that the students left or anyone that booed? I want to know why people keep showing up and supporting this foolishness. I heard someone post that Gus has killed their love for Auburn football. That hit home for me because I thought it was just me. I can't even stand to look at Gus on the sidelines and I definitely don't watch his interviews. Prince had a song that went: I can't love you because I hate you and I can't hate you because I love you. sigh

2019: 7-2 (8-4 or 5 projected)

2018: 8-5

2017: 10-4

2016: 8-5

2015: 7-6

2014: 8-5

2013: 11-2

I'm sorry; I couldn't resist. Way up there on the favorite episode list.  (Tickets were $4 for students in my day...still can't get over that.)

Image result for no soup for you!

And now I feel like my post is completely inadequate for leaving out this meme.  I am rightfully ashamed for not including it 🤣

5, possibly 6, years of averaging 5 losses. Awesome!

I'm just reading all these accounts of the weather with envy.  It's actually FALL up there! ....so jealous.  Guess Auburn can move it's home games to Tampa, I suppose.  It's still 85° w/ 90% humidity down here.

As for tickets and such?  I can't believe people are actually telling other people how to spend their own money.  So football fans are pushing for socialism now too?  Jeez.

Proof that the (offensive) football stinks is that nobody's even talking football.   Much like the last 2 or 3 actually fun threads Tora's created, 90% of this forum should be moved to All Things Considered or Politics.

Y'all have fun.  Wake me when the actual coaching search begins.

War Eagle....I guess.

Thanks, '72!  I forget the other parts of the forum exist...All Things Considered, Fun and Games, and plenty of others are trippy!  You can learn so much and connect on other levels...the angst slips away...it's just a good landing spot for right now.  This one is there...find out what makes you tick, then apply it to work/home/here...fascinating stuff!

It can be a (different kind of) game changer...  https://www.16personalities.com/personality-types

How about you come up with one that matches the BO car, and I'll refrain from posting that one!  🤣

Disclaimer:  We do not mean "OUR BO (Nix)."  "Seinfeld" fans will understand...

This is not true.   When auburn was kicking the crap out of Mississippi State, fans left the game.

Look, it’s a bad sign.    Don’t try and make excuses.    If you are going to the game, stay and cheer.

Yup, fans at Auburn have always left early during blowouts and coaches or players have never said anything about that.

Difference this time is that it was a close SEC game and people were booing.

Yeah in the 40s with the wind is quite chilly considering it was 90 only a couple of days ago. The booing, while I know was directed as Malzahns complacency to run out the clock before half, was a bad look. The kids were playing hard and putting up decent stats, but the playcalling was leaving them empty on the scoreboard. As much as I disagree with Gus's playcalling and other decisions,  I never want the players to feel discouraged or at fault.

I didn’t hear any booing going on in section 4.  But I had insulated underwear and boot socks and I was still freezing. I saw some people (students) wearing short sleeves and Mini skirts. Still don’t know what they were thinking

I Admit I was ready to get by the fire in the 3rd. Sure as heck wasnt much to stand up and shout for anyway.
